Jack Zimmermann was the prince of the merfolk, expected to succeed his father as king of the seven seas until he swam to the surface world on the eve of his coronation. After his tail magically transformed into legs on dry land, he learned to blend in with humans with help from Shitty Knight. Five years later, he’s attending Samwell University and things are going swimmingly (heh) until a certain baker/vlogger moves into their Haus. Will Jack be able to keep his true nature and the existence of merfolk a secret when Bitty is broadcasting his and his friends’ lives on YouTube?

In which Arthur slowly loses his mind after legalizing magic in Camelot because his idiot of a manservant still won't admit he's a freaking sorcerer... No worries though. He has a plan. A well-developed, patented, highly intelligent plan that would absolutely lead to Merlin becoming his court sorcerer (because the one he has right now was a complete dimwit).

With slow movements, cautious of the guards appointed outside his door, the dark-haired crown prince stood from his desk, carefully rolling the letter in his hands as he rose. He grabbed a ribbon from the corner of his desk, and tied it around the rolled parchment. Then, assuring its tightness was sufficient, he walked to the curtained window, socked feet quiet on the hard floor.
A cough from outside his chamber’s doors had Merlin freezing in his tracks as he raised a hand to open his curtains. Shuffling from the guards had him holding his breath, anxious anticipation suffocating him.

Yes. Quite frankly, the fact that there weren’t constantly guys throwing themselves at Bitty had always mystified Jack. What was there not to like about Bitty? How could you talk to him for more than thirty seconds and not be completely smitten?
You know, if you were in the market for that sort of thing. Which Jack very much was not.
Bitty gets asked on a date, and Jack is so jealous he doesn't know what to do with himself. It leads to some realizations.

“You see that there?” Arthur murmured, pointing up to the sky, “those stars there make up Auriga…”
Merlin turned his head to Arthur, momentarily shocked by his knowledge, before looking to where he was pointing. “How do you know?”
“Well… It’s got that really bright star right there at the top, then it’s got those other four points making the shape of a long box with a kind of point at the top… then there is that cluster of three very small stars beneath the brightest…” Arthur explained.
Merlin blinked a few times, his gaze turning away from the constellation and back to Arthur, a soft look on his face.
“Incredible…”Or
Merlin discovers Arthur’s knowledge of the stars, and in doing so discovers he is, indeed, able to fall even more in love with his King.
