I mean, he’s always known they’re identical. Hell, that’s what even tipped them off about the whole reincarnated-twin thing. But between Tommy’s silver-white hair and green eyes and the fact that Billy looks like he’s actually encountered a hairbrush this decade, it’s not always that apparent. Billy’s the better-groomed brunette and Tommy’s the shaggy-haired delinquent who wears whatever clothing he grabs off the floor first in the morning. It can be easy, then, to forget how similar they actually look.
But apparently a box of hair dye can make a big difference when it comes to that.
Or: Billy and Tommy decide to go as each other for Halloween, which unlocks a slight twin existential crisis and a lot of family feelings. Also featuring Tommy "bi crisis" Shepherd/David Alleyne and Wanda Maximoff being a good mom, actually.

Evil twin, as Dustin would say, his voice low and incriminating. Ultraman type shit. Will considers relaying the situation on their upcoming weekly call to make the current situation less unsettling.
The guy is cautiously smiling back now – a reflection of Will’s unconscious expression at the thought of Dustin’s clarification – and it doesn’t falter, even once Will loses his amusement. Instead, the grin widens, almost too big for his face and definitely too big for Mike’s usual range of expression. His eyebrows rise above the rim of his lenses.

Jonathan thought it was stupid. The whole thing was stupid. Just because Will was quiet and small, and sensitive as his mom said, didn’t mean that… Didn’t give them permission to say things like that. Jonathan had been called queer before, quite a few times in fact, he was also quiet but the vitriol they say it with, when they direct it at his brother.
Frightened him.
The whole town had marked his baby brother as wrong. As different. As a mistake.
Jonathan wanted to burn the whole town down. With their accusations, and gossip; their fake and vapid smiles hiding any piece of authenticity. They all lied and hid, and they hated his brother because he didn’t.
Because he couldn’t.
It terrified him because they were right.

It’s not fair that you get to just waltz in with your stupid name and stupid talent and stupid lame-ass hair-do and cut to the front of the line!”
Suddenly, Lance wasn’t a pretty girl in a bookstore bantering with Keith- she was a threat and a reminder that even the good things Keith got came from the muck under someone’s boot. Who the fuck did Lance think she was? Keith could tell from her confidence, from her inner glow, from her bouncy little footsteps and shit eating grin that Lance grew up loved. People who had a home carried it with them in their bones. It kept them warm and kept them looking forward. And for one minute, Keith felt white hot. She felt pissed and angry and ready to spit.
Keith leaned forward and flicked Lance right on her prissy little nose. “Life ain’t fair, kid. You don’t like it? Kick rocks.”

“What is wrong with your dog?!” Lance shouts, his furious blue eyes narrowed as soapsuds slide down his face. Keith tries his hardest to keep his gaze stuck on Lance’s face, to prevent it from slipping down the glistening, bare skin of his chest that melts into his abs.
“He’s a wolf, not a dog,” he replies. Beside him, Kosmo howls as though he’s agreeing with Keith. Lance shoots a glare at Kosmo and he shuts up promptly. Then his glare turns on Keith and he regrets ever opening his mouth.
“Your cosmic pet drops you into the middle of my shower and that’s what you’re arguing about? The semantics of his species?” he snaps, throwing up an arm in frustration and sending suds flying. One lands on Keith’s hair. “Get out!”
He shrugs, his gaze snagging on Lance’s broad shoulders. “It’s not anything I haven’t seen before.”
“Keith, get out!” he shrieks, grabbing a bottle of shampoo and hurling it at him. Keith manages to duck in time before it slams against the wall where he was standing seconds before.
Five times Kosmo spontaneously teleports Keith to Lance’s side, and the one time Lance returns the favor.
