Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty rewritten around the best line (in my opinion) in the expansion. An alternate take on the story, deriving post-"Chippin' In" quest.
Would telling the truth change the final outcome? Would it bring the long-awaited happy ending? Or will it bring eventual downfall for both of them?
If only life in a dystopian world like Night City was that simple...

Needing eddies for info, an offer seeming nearly too good to be true arrives right on her doorstep, and even with so many red flags around it, she takes it, leading herself down a road she probably would've never taken, teeming with knowledge of things that should have either never or later come into her purview, and a piece of history that probably should have never left its tomb.***
This story takes a far more alternate take on Phantom Liberty, having V play a much more... Informed role in the story, alongside having another voice in her head, and powers that probably shouldn't be in the hands of a gonk such as our dear Valerie.
What would change, and how would things turn out in the end? Only time will tell...

Rick gets bit.
That should've been the end of the story but, he wakes up and he's not exactly the same.
The biggest difference-- he can't die.
___________Rick blinks up at Negan, bleary-eyed understanding dawning on him when the man crouches in front of him. Fingers grip his chin, smearing the blood there and pushing at his lips to reveal a hint of red stained teeth.
"It's a damn shame you can't die." Negan whispers, the barest hint of a smile filling Rick's vision. "Cause you're not gonna like what comes next."
Negan lets him go none too gently, making his teeth click and his head spin. Rick is left with the chill of a slow simmering fear, creeping like ice down his spine as he watches Negan walk away.

Summary
Everett's sea of magic contained power of all kinds, and when he died, so did he. This included a not-insignificant amount of time magic.
And Quentin? Traces of the timeshare spell still lingered on him, and it was, after all, his spell that set off the blast.
(And what is mending anyway, but a kind of physical magic with hints of time magic and healing to it?)
The surges aren't the only side effect of the blast that accidentally returned magic to the world, and the already-unstable Timeline 40 splits along a fault line, leaving ripple effects in both the realities it creates. The only way to mend things is to work together.
Meanwhile, the timeshare spell itself created Timeline 41, where it is 2016 and Brakebills first-year Quentin Coldwater has strange dreams...
