Daredevil, fearless, risky.... From a young age, I craved adrenaline. Looking back it’s a miracle I’ve lived as long as I have with so little damage to myself. The moment the dirt bike tire twisted in the dirt, veering me off course, I knew my luck had finally run out.

“Well it’s better than that leathery old farmer. All skin and bones, he was. I’m still picking bits of him out of me teeth.” All at once the conversation clicked. The Hobbit, of course. Recognizing the conversation relieved me. Now I figured I must have survived, carted off to a hospital.
I really was mangled up most likely, and my family, most likely my brother, had likely found a way to play the Hobbit movies in my room for me. Now the movies were influencing my dreams. Knowing I would be heading for a world of pain if I fought to wake up right away, I decided to embrace the dream I found myself in and go try to help the company like some stupid girl in a fanfiction would, cause why the hell not?

This began life as a story I wrote for my best friend along the premise of "Oh Lord, wouldn't it be funny if we - two sarcastic, pop-culture obsessed arseholes - got catapulted into Middle Earth?"
It snowballed from there into a small novel, which shows how much fun we both had.
This story is incredibly silly, featuring impressive combinations of swear words, feats of athleticism beyond either of us, a Grumpy Thorin, a Perplexed Bilbo, two hot Dwarven princes and one dragon who wishes he hadn't messed with us.

Or is this dream a way to cope with the realities of her fate. No, Lucia Corvan never had much luck with fate, but in this new world she might just get another chance.
If this world is the real deal, then maybe.
Maybe she could change the fates of others and secure a comfortable rest of her life for herself. A share of Thrór's treasure hold doesn't sound to bad.Series

Someone from our world pulled into Middle Earth is a theme that is done a great deal, but rarely done in a realistic way. A lot of things are rarely flushed out: why would such a thing happen? How? What would it truly be like for someone who is a real fan of Tolkien and has so much knowledge of that world to sudden be tossed into that world? What kind of struggles would they face? What would it be like to meet these storybook characters whose fates you know when they are flesh and blood people? What would it be like to carry such a weight? These are things I often think about & lead me to writing down what I thought it may be like.
"To Tumble Into Middle Earth", is an exploration of those thoughts and follow the OFC Helen, a fan of Tolkien, who finds herself faced with the impossible. She must figure out what to do now that she stands before these people she thought were fairy tales. Will she use her knowledge of Middle Earth or will the burden of knowing break her?
Eventual romance. Some Angst. Language Barrier(for a time). Valar meddling. Gandalf is amused.

This is a terrible idea.
The medical tent is full of men, littered with the wounded that just rolled up, following men busy bellowing Captain America! over and over. You had seen him then, making eyes at you even though he'd been ragged as a stray dog, bleeding in ripped clothes. It isn't the first time a soldier has looked at you like a little bit of home he wants to touch, and you know it won't be the last. He'd smiled and nodded politely, but the slick curve of his mouth let you know just what kind of man you'd be dealing with later.
And true to form, when you pluck the dog tags off his chest to match the name to the one you've scribbled on his chart, he runs a finger delicately over your hand and says, The name's Bucky.
