Eddie knew he should’ve been listening to the lesson and the assignment that was going to be given with it, but it was the last fucking class of the day…And today was the day. Date day.
He just wanted it to be fucking over. He could work with Steve later on catching up with what he missed in class, but he needed the hands on the clock to move faster. Eddie looked away from the time and back to Steve, finding that that helped relax his anxious nerves. Man, Steve looked so good today. He really had listened to giving Eddie the full Steve Harrington experience. Yeah, Steve always looked good, but it was clear that he’d put his best clothes on and did his hair just right.

This would be a hefty conversation. When he was done undressing for the heated atmosphere a house provided from the cold, Steve went past him to lead the way to the living room. Eddie stopped, though, not wanting to sit down. That would be too comfortable and even more awkward for him at the same time to sit down right away. No, he wanted to do this standing for a bit.
“I’m ready to talk now,” Eddie stated. “I know I said 2 days, but what can I say? Your speech inspired me…and my uncle gave a helpful shove out the door too.”
Steve gave a soft smile.
Inhaling deeply, Eddie straightened his shoulders to begin, but Steve got there first.

He’d been worried the neighbors would call the cops on him for loitering around and stalking Steve’s place. Summary

Years later, after the events of season 4, Eddie has narrowly escaped death and is now friends with said crush, who remembers nothing from their night together.
Steve is going through it, and by it, a frustrating sexuality crisis while deep in denial after surviving monsters from another dimension.
