Summary
Well, this is basically a ramble, inspired by a very angry person who believes that discussing any view but hers is somehow rude to her. So - I took her at her word and decided to toss some ideas out there and if you don't like them or see things in a different way - I am all about the fun of discussion. This is how I perceive some things on this show. To begin - a monograph on why Mary is not necessarily a good person but that she isn't an evil ogre either. I will see how this goes and if I get a few sane people who also like to share ideas rather than spew vitriol then we will continue on with such topics as Mycroft is an unsung hero and John is not a cuddly man. Please feel free to disagree but just keep it in the realm of decorum. Thanks for reading.

So, I live to make things really hard and so I am going to try to pants a cohesive (hopefully) novel length story using these random prompts as chapter themes.
Sherlock has done something and it’s a really big thing. It was Molly’s idea, to be honest. But he hasn’t been honest with John, and you know how that’s going to go over. The not telling John was fine at first, but now, well, it’s not fine. Can Sherlock fix it or will he lose John again?

Not a canon fix so much as extending possible explanations using hints and connecting dots to show that series three offers a lot more thought and perception of character than is spoon fed to the viewer. Extra possible scenes that would fill in some of the time lurches while pushing the Johnlock right up to the limit.
See, the phone call that got John to go to the empty house, John and Sherlock before Mary arrived in the empty house, what happened after the ambulance left Baker Street, Who told Janine, some John and Mary backstory that makes it seem rational to forgive her, why Sherlock hates Magnussen, why Sherlock killed him and what were Mycroft and Mary chatting about as the boys bollocksed up the goodbye scene. Canon compliant with series three but expands on a lot of possibilities we did not see.
Chapter 15 - Spoilers for The Abominable Bride - What Sherlock's time in his mind palace may have looked like to John. Don't read chapter 15 if you have not seen the special. -

James is not having much luck coming to terms with Robbie and Laura's upcoming nuptials, of which he is expected to play best man. One drunken night he tells Robbie the deep dark secret of what he really thinks of that idea, then nearly gets what he asked for. Laura has a plan, but implementing it may lead to disaster. There is plenty of pining, conflict and humor. Innocent turns her little circus over to the new guy and he manages to get the wrong impression of just about everything.

This man that Robbie had to live up to is not what James expected, but then who expects a Ghost to send him off on a case closed years ago and stamped solved. Who would expect a Governor to transcend the eternal veil to keep his own bagman from joining him?

John is broken inside but manages to carry on thanks to his loving wife and a little furr-ball he named Sherlock. He convinces himself that the cat is a spritual gift from his dead best friend if not the actual persona of his friend in animal form. Guess what happens when the real Sherlock comes back to John and discovers his namesake. Poor Mary, fighting two Sherlocks to keep her place in John's heart. Hilarious Battle with silly situations and twisty angst packed ending. Must read - no slash - but in the spirit of canon people do make assumptions.
