He paused a moment to let that sink in.

From the worried looks on his siblings faces they were starting to get it.

He knows exactly what it’s like to lose someone he loves.
Like a father. Like a mother.
Like an adopted son.
It was always like this. Any time Bruce saw Jason, he always looked the same way he had when Bruce found him in that abandoned wing of Arkham. Broken, scared, and in pain. Bruce must’ve seen the vision at least a hundred times, and it never got any easier. This wasn’t how Jason deserved to be remembered. He was so much more than what Joker had done to him.
Bruce had let go of his hopes for a happy ending a long time ago. Even if the Insurgency managed to kill Superman, it wouldn't bring his son back. But when new information suggests Jason could be alive again, it's so hard not to hope.
OR
What Jason Todd’s resurrection might’ve looked like in the Snyderverse if Bruce was a Good Dad, Slade was good but not good good, and Roy Harper was involved like he deserved to be. (No Snyderverse knowledge needed to enjoy!!)

It was perfectly fine. Nothing was wrong. There was no reason to be so irrational. He just needed to get a grip, that's all. These dreams, they didn't mean anything. Neither did the numbers on his wrist, or the fact that he couldn't remember anything before he was twelve. His parents were his parents, his life was completely ordinary. It was all in his head.
He was fine.
What he couldn't explain, he just ignored. It was nothing. It was just him being stupid. The pull to these... monsters. The way he felt this overwhelming need to be in their presence. That was all bullshit.
Or that when he first saw them, when they opened up their jaws, showing their teeth.
That he could understand every word they said.

All Tim wants is a cup of coffee, but his dear brother Dick insists on dragging him along to hunt a murderous and elusive Mothman that he claims is haunting Gotham City, specifically Crime Alley.
Tim doubts it’s really Mothman, seeing as West Virginia is very, very far away. But he gets sucked into the mystery all the same, because saying no to a determined Dick Grayson is about as easy as eating a chair with a pair of chopsticks. And besides, he's always been a sucker for a good conspiracy theory.
Alternatively: Mothman with a gun. Mothman take me by the gun? GlockMan? I think I’m losing it.

Jason’s first mistake was hacking the Bats’ secret comm channel.
Although could it really be called hacking when they’d never bothered to change their frequency since his Robin days? All he’d had to do was log on, and boom – instant access to the best ways to avoid meddlesome Bats while he got shit done. And since his end was carefully muted, they wouldn’t even know anyone was listening.
His second mistake was thinking he could listen without getting sucked back into their drama.
Jason came back to Gotham with two intentions: one – protect Crime Alley and do it right this time. And two – avoid the Bats. Neither of these were proving as simple as he’d hoped.
