Summary
Tommy was Wilbur’s unfinished symphony. Now? That symphony is nothing more than crumpling dust in a cell, never to be finished. Reuniting with his brother and an ex-tyrant seemed to be more comforting than he’d originally thought.
If only others let it stay that way.
Phil’s family has been broken long before the wars had even happened, the fighting just added to it. Nothing could be done to help and soon he’ll realize that.

“Not without Tommy, I’m afraid.” Dream says, his voice still even and horribly, horribly calm. Sapnap turns slightly, looking back at him. Tommy is frozen, unable to form a single syllable in his unyielding fear. His heart beats faster with each step Dream takes, like a great wolf closing in on its helpless prey. He is helpless, he can’t do anything to stop him from hurting him he’ll just take him away–
Sapnap meets his gaze, understanding suddenly rippling through his expression. Tommy realizes that he does not have to explain his paralyzing terror. Because Sapnap can see it, he knows. And he has no love for Dream, he has no reason to help him.
“No.” Sapnap says curtly, turning back to Dream. “He’s on Kinoko land, he’s under our protection.”

TLDR; After being saved from his tormentor by Sapnap, Tommy is given refuge (and maybe a family) in Kinoko Kingdom. Trauma talks over chocolate milk at midnight ensue.
(Meanwhile, too many are people are out for revenge).

It started with Tommy.
It started with a tiny sixteen-year-old with brown floppy hair and a sword too big for his body cornering Techno in one of the many alcoves of Pogtopia and demanding to know his intentions toward his best friend.
“I don’t know where you came from,” the kid hissed, the tip of his blade level with Techno’s heart. “But I don’t trust you. If you think for even a second that just because Wilbur’s going off the rails you can do whatever the hell you want with Tommy, you’re sorely mistaken.”
