Summary

Endeavor’s fire burns through them all, in flames, in anger, in the hurt they bring. He’s the reason Touya died, the reason his mother is locked up in a hospital and the reason Natsuo and Fuyumi could never have a proper family.
Shouto’s imagined his own undoing so many times. He often wonders, as Endeavor’s creation, if he’ll go up in flames, a spectacle for all to see, or if he’ll fizzle out in silence until there’s nothing left but ash. A masterpiece falling from grace. Sometimes he even wonders if one day he’ll burn himself up like Touya had. He imagines Endeavor’s reaction, as he once again conceals a dead Todoroki and continues to live without guilt for the children he destroyed.
In the end, his unravelling begins with a single drop of blood.
Alternatively: after moving into the dorms and finally learning how to relax, the years of abuse Shouto suffered at the hands of Endeavor finally start to catch up to him and he finds himself not knowing how to handle it.

For hundreds of years, Hunter has watched his uncle lose himself more and more to a dark and deadly curse. He swore no oath to stop it and Uncle would never ask him to. But then, he never needed to. Hunter decided long ago he would find a way to free his uncle, no matter the cost.
And if that means working part time for the most notorious criminal on the Boiling Isles and being dragged on idiotic adventures by a human who is way too enamored with wild magic? Then Hunter can manage to swallow his pride and suffer their chaotic shenanigans.
After all, it's just until he finds a way to break the curse.

The Squawk had become their cover, their communication hub, their war room. Robin did the actual broadcasts mostly playing music and reading pre-written community updates approved by the military presence in town, but the real purpose was the coded messages. Steve had helped her set up the whole system, spending hours figuring out how to get all the sound effects she wanted, taping things to walls and attempting to MacGyver random things around the station.
That was just who Steve was, but looking around the room now, Robin wondered more and more if anyone else actually saw that.

“Fuck,” Robin gasps, and her wide eyes find his. “A child? They chose for you to be a human child?”
He nods, throat in knots.
“So,” she fumbles. “You’ve been serving the Harringtons for eighteen years?”
“Pretty much.”
“Jesus.”

Or, eighteen years ago, the Harringtons walked out of Yellowstone Park with a newborn and the promise of ten wishes all bundled in one. Sixteen years later, Steve picks up a bat, restrictions be damned.

Jonathan squinted his eyes, inspecting every barren, twisted tree branch. Icy dread found its way into his heart when he saw nothing. But just before the fear for Dustin's wellbeing could settle, the red lightning was back, shedding the much-needed light through the branches. And there it was.
"Is that..." Nancy took a curious step closer. "A backpack?"
