Hi everyone! Last year I read the original atyd and Sirius's pov, and now I'm currently reading James pov aswell. I am a huge fan of each and everyone of them and they inspired me to write this fic, Regulus's pov! This fic will be every chapter of atyd but from Regulus's pov, meaning that it will begin during the summer in 1971, just like the original, but then really get started during atyd second year (Regulus's first). This fanfic is inspired by all three authors, the original by MsKingBean89, Sirius's pov by Rollercoasterwords and James's pov by Stayindreamz all the credit for those works goes to them, please go read theirs first if you havn't. Then come back here for a new, fresh story from Regulus's perspective.

Barty looks… he looks sick. He is more pale than usual and the bags under his eyes are practically purple. Evan is pretty sure he was not that skinny before Christmas either, but the most concerning thing is the empty look in Barty’s eyes. He just opens the carriage door and sits opposite everyone without saying a word. Evan feels all the previous tension returning to his body again, he knows Barty’s father is a dick but what could he possibly have done to cause Barty to shut down in such a way?
The thing is, even in his worst moments, Barty has always been painfully here unlike Regulus who goes somewhere else when things get too much. Evan has held him through the panic attacks and the nightmares, but he has never seen Barty so disconnected and empty. It fills Evan with a fear so visceral he wants to scream.
“Barty?” It’s Pandora who speaks first.
Barty just continues to sit there and stare at the wall behind them, showing no sign of whether he heard Pandora or not.

“You can take a hit, Potter, I’ve seen you on the quidditch pitch,” Regulus waved him off, and James groaned, leaning away from him.
“Oh, yeah, great, so I’m the sacrifice,” he sighed.
“Precisely,” Regulus stepped right into his space, and James felt his chest go a little hot.

L’aveva già visto con quella faccia e quell’andatura, soprattutto quando l’estate capitava che accompagnassero Marco in piscina per non fargli attraversare in bicicletta una Latina già rovente alle otto del mattino, e le aveva sempre attribuite ad una vita di stravizi — ché suo fratello era stato sempre piuttosto prodigo nell’attribuire difetti e mancanze al suo compagno di squadra e Daniele aveva sempre reso piuttosto facile credere alle malelingue che circolano sul suo conto.
«Posso venì a dormì a casa tua?» gli aveva chiesto al telefono, la voce che si perdeva tra rumori vari. «Non ho capito che cazzo stanno facendo sul tetto, non riesco a chiude occhio.»
Sul calendario appeso vicino alla porta, e comprato solo per quello perché alla fine lui con un calendario cosa ci dovrebbe fare, campeggiano in rosso una sfilza di “NOTTE” scritti a penna accanto alla data.(Daniele ha sonno, Andrea ha casa libera, e alla fine i polli non sono altro che dinosauri - ci avete mai pensato?)

Prima che Simone possa urlargli di fermarsi, Dante si porta la mano alla bocca, con uno stupore nell’espressione da far vacillare la presa che ha Simone sulla pistola da quanto è piena di emozione.
"Mimmo!" esclama Dante e il modo in cui pronuncia la parola sembra quasi una preghiera di speranza.»Or semplicemente una The Walking Dead au, ovvero una Zombie Apocalypse au. I fatti della prima stagione rimangono invariati e anche buona parte di quelli della seconda, cambia il fatto che Mimmo e Simone non si sono mai conosciuti. Si conoscono in questo contesto, mentre Simone è alle prese con i traumi che questo mondo apocalittico ha portato con sé.
