Quaritch knew he was a bad man, he knew he wasn't meant to care but regardless he did, he cared about his son he cared about him more than he knew what to do with. He wasn't the human Quaritch anymore but memories of soft hands and tiny giggles filled his head every time he saw Spider. If Jake knew what had to be done to save him then he wouldn't stop him.

It’s a common pass time among adult Na’vi family members to have sex. In fact, it’s almost a celebratory right after ones second birth.
Jake never thought he’d have to worry about his children requesting such a thing. He was quickly proven wrong when Neteyam request him to be his Tswayon after getting his Ikran. Lo’ak asking the same after his second birth.
Let’s not forget Neteyam desire to be his parents Ka Meuia Tsenge. The one who will never move out and care for them through out their lives and even taking on the role of mate to one parent when the other eventually dies. This takes on great meaning when Neytiri pass away during their war.
Oh, and Neteyam may or may not have a terrible secret he's buring deep in hopes his family never notices the dark and intense feelings he has for his Dad.
Note: Neytiri will not die until well into the story, so she’s in it a while.

Jake knows the Earth was a harsh place, well aware of the dangers it had and the monsters it had as well. No one cared, nothing would matter and....so what. If they thought of him of nothing, then why not take himself, his avatar and his friend and fuck off into the wilderness of pandora. If he can screw over the RDA and its resident parasites, then bonus points.
Grace isn't thrilled.
