When a Voldemort in his thirties encounters a time-travelling, seventeen-year-old Harry Potter, he makes a dangerous—and hilarious—assumption. He assumes that Harry is his son. And his son, of course, deserves the very best.
A confused Harry plays along for the sake of self-preservation, but living with his “father” is proving to be intolerable in more ways than one.
“You are mine,” Voldemort said gently, and smiled when Harry flinched. So the boy did know Voldemort, after all. He knew Voldemort was to be feared. “I will look after you, my own.”
“I don’t belong to you,” Harry spat, despite his fear. Oh, what a delight he was! He was no cowering, simpering sycophant, like Voldemort’s other followers; no, this child had a spine of steel. Not many could stand before Voldemort without quailing.
“You are my son,” Voldemort declared. “Of course you belong to me. Your every cell, your every fibre, your every heartbeat. You are mine in flesh and blood and soul. You are mine in magic. And you will not deny me.”

Summary
After what had happened at the end of the tournament, was it really any surprise that Harry wasn't doing well? Seeing Cedric die, Voldemort rise, and being practically abandoned back with the Dursley's was the stray that broke the camel's back.
Harry just wants the pain to stop. He wants to finally have some peace and quiet, and it looks like there is only one way for him to accomplish that; through death. When the dementors attack, Harry doesn't have the strength to fight back. With his luck though, he is saved at the last moment and hurriedly taken to Grimmauld place for protection.
The thought of death festers in Harry's mind though and he comes to realize that thoughts of suicide weren't new for him, that they had been there for years. While at Grimmauld place though, Harry doesn't get the chance to take matters into his own hands. It's not until he and Sirius sneak out one day and Harry finally gets another chance to end his life.
Little does Harry know, that a prophecy is going to keep him from what he most desperately desires.

When Muggle medicine fails, Severus Snape is the one to answer the call for aid. He soon realizes that all he has been told of the boy's 'pampered', 'loved' and 'spoiled' life have been utter fabrications.
When Severus sees the depths to which Albus Dumbledore is willing to sink to play games with their lives, he decides he must protect the boy from the Headmaster, before it is too late.

Summary
