Summary
Vox felt his throat close as his name crept its way into his mind. Alastor. It’s always been Alastor, hasn’t it? Ever since he first met the Radio Demon, Vox doesn’t think his life has ever actually been his. Alastor has consumed every waking thought of his life since that day.
Vox has been addicted to substances before. When he was Vincent Whittman, he was no stranger to most drugs. Weed, cocaine, opioids, LSD. The list went on. In hell, he’s been addicted to most substances that VoxTek produced. He created really good substances, he had to admit.
No drug could ever compare to Alastor, though. Vox was utterly addicted to the man. No one would ever replace Alastor either. It was humiliating having to think about this, but he thought if he’s going to die, he might as well sort out his life in his thoughts. Figure out where he went wrong.
Or: Vox is depressed and attempting to end it all, but not before one last attempt to get Alastor’s attention on him.

Summary
Smoke pours out of the kitchen as Vox hurries out with a heaping pile of food blackened beyond all recognition. “You’ll have to tell me what you think. I tried a new seasoning!” Vox babbles happily using his claws to take a piece of what is presumably food and nibbling it. Alastor hums and pulls the serving dish to himself, taking a fair amount, resigned to the fact that he would be following this meal with something raw to get the taste out of his mouth.
“Maybe we should—” Charlie starts, her smile has slipped as she eyes the smoking breakfast. She picks up the fork and Alastor gives her a pleased nod.
Alastor spears a large piece, not bothering to cut it. It would probably turn to ash on his plate if he tried. He slips it into his mouth and swallows without chewing. He smacks his lips a few times to clear the taste before he turns to Vox with a smile. “It’s delicious as always dear. So delicious in fact that I expect everyone here will clean their plates.” Alastor hears audible gulps from around the table.
Or Alastor finds Vox and takes him home. Them becoming mates is purely happenstance. The rest of hell is simply along for the ride. It’ll be fine, provided they keep Vox out of the kitchen.

Summary
Alastor let the reality of the situation sink in. Now, he not only felt sick from the infernal drug, but felt sick with himself. For being blindsided. For being weak enough to be caught by it. For being so weak. He wouldn’t let himself show the fear clenching at his heart, threatening him with the unknown. He had no clue what this would mean for him or what would happen. This was far beyond his range of experience.
He couldn’t allow Vox to see him in such a state.
“And what’s in it for you?” Alastor asked slowly.
“If anyone is taking you down, it's not going to be some random motherfucker off the street. It’s going to be me,” Vox answered with a quiet earnestness. He stood, not facing the half-conscious deer. “Rest. I’ll find the antidote or whatever the fuck it is will fix you.”
------Alastor gets slipped a love potion while at a bar, and Vox finds him half-conscious in an alleyway. Vox takes it upon himself to figure out what happened and how to help his old pal. Things do get a lil' dicey and spicy along the way.

The sounds of shattering bone and frenzied static thrummed in the air, and Vox’s antennae drooped as the intensity of Alastor’s signal increased to a near-suffocating degree. He could feel the other man’s skin strain beneath his palms as whatever skeletal structure he possessed fought desperately to expand beyond the confines of its physical barriers. Even still, Alastor laid a comforting hand on the small of Vox’s back, tracing absent-minded patterns into the bloodied fabric of his turtleneck with a razored claw.
“Don’t worry, my dear,” he murmured, his voice a whisper, a promise, of unimaginable violence. “I’ll ensure he never does such a thing again.”
Vox clutched Alastor closer, praying—for the first time in decades—that the deer couldn’t feel the shape of his smirk through his clothes.

Summary
Alastor pretending the whole "fucking him until he passed out in exchange for partnership" thing had never happened was fine with Vox. Really! It was totally cool and fine and not even that big of deal, it's not like he even cared.
