Summary
Merlin wasn't entirely certain that staying with the Order of the Phoenix—the majority of whom didn't know him—was his best idea ever, but it definitely beat being out of touch with the rest of the magical world for the summer. A little push here and a little nudge there, and he'd managed to get Sirius to invite him, Arthur, and Draco to stay with the rest of the Order.
Or, Merlin was quite honestly exhausted from dealing with the so-called Dark Lord, but he still had to pace himself lest he throw the entire magical world out of balance. Even so, he was struggling with not showing up this pink lady from the Ministry of Magic. Was this seriously who the ministry deemed an acceptable teacher? She wasn't even teaching the students at all!

Rumi looks down. “Your soul,” she whispers mournfully, enraptured by the blue light trickling out of his chest. “It’s beautiful.”
Jinu smiles.
Gently, he presses his forehead against hers. Rumi jolts, eyes widening, but to his relief, she doesn’t pull away.
“My soul,” he echoes softly. “It’s yours, now.”
Rumi opens her mouth, but no words escape her as she gapes at him. A tear cascades down her cheek.
“It’s mine to give, and yours to take, if you’ll have me.” His vision is blurring, and so he lets his eyes fall shut, allowing the darkness to encompass him. He forces himself to believe that the lull of sleep is accepted of his own volition.
His cheeks tingle. Rumi is holding onto his face. “No, no, no—” she grits out. Her voice is growing distant. “Stop. You can’t do this to me.” The words rush out of her in a frenzy, full of haste and distress. “Jinu.”
“Rumi,” he responds in a broken murmur. “Thank you.”
She was right. Gwi-Ma could be defeated.
He should have listened to her.
(Or: A fix-it/time-travel au where Jinu goes back to the very beginning of the story and sets things right.)

An attempt at a SI-fic with a character not quite lucky enough to be given easy access to the main cast. Sporting a fresh case of “amnesia” and a disgustingly overpowered cursed technique to balance out his ineptitude, the casual fan who’s replaced Naoya Zen’in has enough on his plate without having to muddle through clan politics and the social repercussions of incarnating as such an utter bastard. It’s going to be really hard to save the world and not die when he’s barely involved in the original plot … and when he never even finished the damn manga.
Maybe he’s only half-lying when he says he doesn’t remember anything.

If he had known that he’d be reincarnated as the King of Curses, he would have listened to Uraume and watched the whole anime, but he didn’t and now he’s stuck in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen with no way out. Fantastic.
Sukuna was an ordinary working citizen after freshly graduated with a nice job to get by, but due to an accident, he woke up to the worst thing he would have woken up to. Oh god take him back. He doesn’t want to kill people, that’s like- so messy and crazy evil.
A fate where the big bad villain of the series getting along with the main character would be more preferable. Right. Right!?

Annnnd there’s really no doubting it now.
Clearly those vivid dreams of war, imprisonment and eleven years of growing up is not the dream Satoru had thought it to be since waking up in the infirmary as a seventeen-year-old student, way back before the source of all his problems defected from Jujutsu society.

The crux of the matter is that Kakashi’s old. By the time he finally gives up the hat, he’s nearly forty and growing older, and while he’s faced death too many times to still remember to fear it, he certainly thinks about it. He can’t help it. He blames the Nidaime — staring at Senju Tobirama’s reanimated face reminds Kakashi of everything that will die with him: his clan, their history, an entire generation. The realization leaves him unsettled, and as his body starts to ache more and more, he finds himself wishing for a world in which he isn’t so alone.
Or, Kakashi returns to the Hatake compound in an attempt to speak with his ancestors and promptly forgets that the Hiraishin is, above all else, an experimental time/space jutsu. By activating it, he finds himself in a world not quite like his own.
