It’s been a few days since The Favorite Character Awards.
Pomni has been through a number of bizarre things during her time in the circus. Candy truck chases, angel head horrors, minimum wage labor, athletic events, gun-filled battle royales. But none of these come close to what she witnesses on a seemingly innocent day full of beach-filled fun: Caine attempting to take his own life.
After managing to stop him, Pomni takes it upon herself (and is borderline forced to by Bubble) to help keep Caine’s mental state intact by engaging in improvised therapy sessions with him. After all, if Caine died, what would happen to the circus? And to the humans that lived within it? This was her only concern at first. But as Caine opens up to her more through these sessions, she realizes just how much the AI is hurting and how long he has been harboring these negative emotions.
Turns out Caine needs more help than she thought.
He's just as trapped in this game as they are. And worse.

Summary
For years, Petunia Dursley goes to a completely normal and above all prominent psychiatrist to talk about all the misfortunes that her life is full of. When her usual psychiatrist ends up in a car accident, the practice is temporarily taken over by a substitute psychiatrist from Baltimore.
In other words, what would happen if Harry accidentally came into contact with Dr. Hannibal Lecter as he waits for his aunt to finish her session? How will the traumatized teenager react to the formidable Hannibal after the death of his beloved godfather? More importantly, how will Hannibal react when he finds out he has something interesting thrown into his lap, far more interesting than his homicidal thoughts about the boring stay-at-home moms of Surrey?
(I have now written 4 chapters and will translate them as soon as possible from Dutch to put them online. For those who haven't read anything from me before: I'm Dutch and English is my second language. My work is guaranteed to contain errors, but I hope my storylines and ideas are enough to keep you reading!)

Summary
The Checkmate series is a canon-divergent Dream SMP AU in which Tommy never made it to Techno's house after escaping his exile, and is caught by Dream and dragged right back to Logstedshire. In this AU, Tommy is with Dream for a little over a year, with stricter rules and harsher punishments to keep him in line. Enduring Dream's abuse and manipulations for so long, Tommy finally breaks the way Dream wants him to; devoting himself well and truly to his former arch-nemesis, as they both fall for Dream's 'best friend' facade.
L'Manberg believes him to be dead. Ranboo, Puffy and Phil have been missing for a year. Technoblade and Ghostbur have set off in search of Phil. Everything is in shambles. Relationships have split apart; others have grown and flourished. With no other choice but to try to move on from their losses, most of the remaining citizens of L'Manberg are doing whatever they can to take control of their lives again, to find happiness. With Techno gone, L'Manberg is somehow more at peace than it had been in a long time, even with Dream looming over their heads - there's nothing to fear, so they think.
None of them are accounting for Tommy's return.

He remembers the inky blackness that took him under, like vines, digging into his soul. He remembers waking up in his bed and immediately vomiting over the edge. And he remembers, with startling clarity, the small yellow flowers mixed in with his stomach bile on the spruce floor of his barracks.
Tommy initially brushed it aside. Tubbo probably left some flowers on the ground from breeding his bees. It was nothing.
The shortness of his breath didn’t feel like nothing, but Tommy had gotten good at lying to himself. It was just from the respawn, nothing else.

Tommy was forgotten by the man who made him a weapon. Tubbo escaped a lab and lost someone he loved. Fundy’s mother left one day and never came back.
No one ever told them it was possible for things to get better. No one ever showed them a brighter future. No one ever taught them what it meant to be loved and wanted and cared for. L’Manberg never allowed for such.
Maybe, it’s time to change that story.

it's fine, tommy tries to convince himself. he doesn't have control over tubbo's actions and feelings, if he wants to marry someone then go ahead. even if that someone was the super untrustworthy ender boy that tommy actually liked and confided his trauma in during exile. it's fine, it's not like he was beaten up to death, got stuck in the afterlife, and got revived again. it's not like he feels lonelier than ever and he can't help still feeling dead and empty.
thing is, tubbo and ranboo do care. a little bit too much, actually. they're plotting something that's supposed to involve legal documents, but instead, they've swapped out the adoption papers with ropes and a whole lot more insanity than an adoption process is supposed to have.

(Yes the title is from sofia the first, yes I'm laughing at it, I find it funny-)
In which Phil has created the Antarctic Empire from the ground up and takes in Techno and Wilbur along the way, and raises them while also ruling his kingdom. Tommy, sixteen, lives with Tubbo in an orphanage, the two of them running around in the cold streets of their town.
After a hectic day of getting separated from Tubbo, getting into a few fights, and ending up in an entirely new town, he comes across Phil, and saves him from an assassination attempt by smashing a plate over someone's head.
So then both Techno and Wilbur decide to see who this kid is, and Tommy sure is endearing, in the way that the first time they spy on him, he starts a fight in an alleyway over a bag of cookies.
(and then Tommy basically gets kidnapped into the royal family, but like, legally, y’know?)
