It soothes his nightmares and brings him peace. One day when they're wrestling, Kuwabara smells better than usual. It awakens a new feeling in him and he just has to have a taste.

Just what the hell he was doing there, Badd could only assume was nefarious. But something stayed his hand, if only just for a brief time- enough to make him think there was maybe more to Garou than just beating heroes. Something made them become friends.

"g-garou?" badd asks. garou slowly turns to him and takes his hand off the bat. badd drops his bat and both men stand looking at each other, neither saying a word.
"things are happening. you might not see me again." garou says, and even his voice has changed. it's deeper, and badd has no clue what the fuck is going on.
"am i dreaming this?" he asks absentmindedly. garou looks at him and shakes his head no.
(garou writes love letters, the hero and monster association alike want his head, and badd supposes all great things are finite and fleeting.)
