Summary
It is well after the events of S2. Geralt and Yen buy a nice little retirement home by the sea and immediately begin sending invitations to their dearest friend to visit for dinner.
Jaskier opens the first invitation, learns they have bought a home, and spirals into emotional turmoil. Until he saw the evidence that they would build a life without him, he hadn't realized how badly he wanted to be a part of it.
Will he keep avoiding their invitations, as they pile up around the continent? Or will he go to dinner with them and find out their true hopes for their relationship?
(This is a poly fic between Geralt, Yen, and Jaskier, with a POV chapter for each of them.)

When Jaskier fell in love with Geralt, it hit him hard and fast--like an arrow straight to the heart. Yen was different. Falling for her had worked like a poison, like droplets in his wine, building up in his body unnoticed, year after year until he was weak and unsteady.
That was the truth of the matter. But it all sounded so cliche.
Bollocks.

“Please,” she begs, planting herself in front of him to act as a physical barrier, forcing him to stop. “I don’t have anywhere else to go.”
“Melitele’s tits, you’re persistent. Isn’t your…” His left hand does something complicated in a strange flourish, as though grappling for the right word. “... actual father, here somewhere?” It doesn’t sound like the word he’d been searching for, the common honorific somehow sounding foreign in his mouth.
“I was with him,” she admits, thinking about Geralt because he is the closest thing to a father she has now. “But… we got separated.”
The stranger raised an unimpressed eyebrow. “So, now you’re looking to adopt a new one?”
...
Alternatively: When Ciri gets separated from Geralt, she has to rely on the kindness of one reluctant stranger until she can find the witcher again. She doesn't intend to get attached - and it's apparent that neither does the stranger - but destiny always finds a way to fuck things up.

"Geralt isn’t sure when the two of them became friends or when they started doing…whatever this is, where Yennefer will learn too close to Jaskier’s lips and he will idly trail his hand over the skirt of her dress.
All he knows is that it makes him feel…something, and he isn’t sure exactly what it is or whether he likes it."

III - Yennefer finds a deadly dance that only she can end
"She looks around the tree she almost walked into - and her heart seizes in her chest.
Jaskier dances around Geralt, one hand raised to his bleeding head and the other held before him, a delicate silver dagger clutched in a white-knuckled grip."

Summary
“Why not have it the way you used to wear it?” she suggests. Her voice sounds somehow faraway, as though she is in another place. “The way you wore it when we met.”
Ah; she is not in another place, but another time. It seems as though Jaskier is not alone in drawing comparisons to that day. “You remember what my hair looked like all those years ago?”
“Is that so surprising? It wasn’t that long ago.”
“Long enough,” he says lightly as he looks up at her. “Though I’m flattered that it was as memorable for you as it was for me.”
“I met Geralt that day,” Yennefer murmurs.
Something sharp sinks heavily in his stomach, piercing as it lands. “Oh. Yes. Of course.” Jaskier nods abruptly and hisses as it pulls on his hair in her grasp. “Ow!”
“It was an eventful time. It stuck in my memory for a multitude of reasons.” She meets his eyes for a fraction of a second, and just for a moment, rubs soothingly at his scalp. He does his best to suppress a shiver.

Summary
Somehow, despite all of that, she simply cannot understand how Jaskier writes music. Not in an insulting way; she is sure he must be talented, if the reputation he keeps telling her he has is anywhere near as lofty as he suggests. It’s just that she doesn’t understand how it happens at all; while she can picture herself fighting like Geralt and channelling chaos like Yennefer, she cannot imagine how she would go about writing a piece of music.
She finds herself blurting the question out, surprising both him and herself equally. She truly had not meant to bring it up at all, but she is so relaxed, listening to Jaskier strum his lute as rain drums on the roof of the cottage, and her idle thoughts float from her mouth without her brain bothering to vet them first. “How do you write songs?”

She is finally going to her room after dutifully wolfing some stew when she notices something on the edge of her hearing. It takes her a long moment to realise that it is not part of the usual sounds of Kaer Morhen.
Ciri has become used to the click of boots on stone, and the perpetual whistle of the wind around the crumbling battlements. She has learned to drown out the skittering of rodents and the distant rumbling conversations of the keep’s inhabitants.
She is not used to hearing singing here.

Even the tips of his ears are rosy, maybe because of the way the girl is squirming on his lap. He's making pleasant conversation, biting his lips and then licking over them at intervals, when he's searching for words. Certainly drunk, then.
He could have been in bed with the girl long ago, but Geralt knows by now that he likes this, likes whispering flirtatious nonsense, and sipping from his cup of mead, and sending winks at Geralt.
Geralt wishes he wouldn't.
Jaskier and Geralt fantasize repeatedly about how badly they do not want each other. Also, they do not care about each other. And any domesticity is unintentional.(Luckily, being travel partners is a temporary arrangement.)

Summary
Turning around, the man himself appears. He’s little changed from when Goro last saw him: not in his Metaverse outfit, but in the clothes from that winter, a thick grey outer coat with a black sweater sticking out from underneath, blue scarf wrapped tightly his neck, glasses appropriately fogged from the Palace’s weather and his mop of black hair as unkempt as ever.
If it weren’t for the golden eyes, Goro would almost mistake him for the real person.
Thrown into solitary confinement the day after he shot Adam Kadmon, Akira forms a Palace. Fortunately for him, Goro Akechi intervenes.
