Let's go back to season 5: Zarkon offers Sam Holt in exchange for Lotor, and Pidge manages to twist Shiro's arm into going along with the obvious trap.
Well, let's pretend Shiro had been firmer with her, and in a desperate attempt to save her father, Pidge goes along with the hostage exchange herself.
Naturally, things go horribly wrong.
NOTE: this fanfiction started in the long ago era of 2020, and is still ongoing and malleable. Details will shift, but the plot will never change. Chapter 1/20 has been beta-read and edited to completion.

Canon divergence in episode 10 of Trollhunters season 3, “A House Divided”, when Jim enters Merlin's bath and potion to become half Troll.
What if... Strickler pushes the kids to break down the door... and changes a life forever (or reveals it)...
Jim’s friends had begged him not to repeat the mistake of doing it alone like he did with the Darklands. Even Strickler, trying to respect the young man’s resolve, knew the burden on Jim's shoulders could drive him to sacrifice himself again. Fearing the worst, the Changeling broke down the magically reinforced bathroom door — likely enchanted by Merlin himself — using all his strength.
Just as Jim was nearly submerged in the potion, Strickler reached out and grabbed his arm.
But it was too late. The potion had already taken effect — and the contact disrupted the spell.
A pulse of wild magic erupted from the tub, striking everyone in the room.
Merlin, sensing something terribly wrong, rushed upstairs. As shadows consumed the space — not just Jim, but everything — he burst into the bathroom, only to glimpse the spreading void.
Before it took him too, he roared
"What have you done?!
And then, there was nothing.

(This was written whilst the story was still releasing chapters for the work)
As of writing, read up to chapter twenty-eight, The Healer takes the perspective of Neema, a seemingly original character of the author, while being set in a location separate from the main stages for canon. While personally, I am neutral towards the character of Viren, the story explores an interpretation of a redemption different from canon!proper.
Neema’s distance to canon at the beginning is a favour, even with *maybe spoilers* later on.Would recommend, especially with chapters still releasing as of writing! Best of wishes everyone.

Miraculous- (I probably do the word to death relating to this fandom, sorry!)- Especially as “Crack Treated Seriously” goes, in my non-professional opinion, at least.
As of writing this, I thoroughly believe that a cool shot with dramatic lighting partially obscuring the face would be completely earned by the author in relation the writing and comedic value of this fic.
