Once, the lands of Elyos were engulfed in a war between the Fell and the Divine, all coming to an end when one of the Fell Dragon's own rose up and took his life. When Paxton first decided to vacation in Lumiose City for a few months, he expected to see the sights, sample authentic Kalosian cuisine, and maybe make a few friends. He didn’t expect to be given a Pokémon, he definitely didn’t expect to be caught up in something that he was fairly certain was supposed to be a secret for regional security purposes, and he certainly didn’t expect to fall in love. Though maybe he should’ve; Lumiose may be known interregionally as the City of Light, but another common name for it was the City of Love.
Granted, it taking one of his friends getting in debt to the mob for him to figure out that he was in love was a bit strange.

Whatever other plans Paxton might've had when he took this trip to Lumiose City was thrown out the window in the first hour. A really pretty girl asking him to star in her advertisement for a hotel he'd never heard of, his own bag getting snatched and then commanding a pokemon in a battle to get it back.
Then he got roped into the nightly Z-A Royale and joined the really pretty girl in a very interesting band of other trainers in said hotel on a mission to protect the city. What better of a way to celebrate with a home cooked meal?
