Summary
No one bat an eye when Robert came to work with bags under his eyes and yawning, holding a cup of coffee in one hand and Beef in the other. He just got scolded by Chase that he should take better care of himself and actually sleep during the night and not lay on the floor staring at the ceiling for six hours, but it was nothing new. Z-Team was a bit pissy, he guessed that Visi told them all about him going out from drinks with that asshole and they felt betrayed. Robert didn't blame them. He actually would endure whatever comeback they thought of, even spiked up coffee or another round of pop out porn on his computer, but there was nothing like that. They were just a bit more quiet, with shorter temper than usual and calling him asshole and flat ass bitch a bit more often. Nothing that Robert couldn't handle.

Robert isn't coping well after the crash and everything that came before it. Toxic is a bad solution but it's the only one he has—until he starts his new job at SDN. Even then, Robert doesn't know how to break his habit of getting on his knees for Shroud's right-hand man. It would be lot easier to just move on with his life if Toxic would only stop kissing him like any of this meant something.

The other person that’s been paying attention is Flambae. He’s right next to Robert on the couch, his arm slung over the top behind his head. One foot is propped up on the other knee, also pointing towards Robert, which has him caged in the corner by the arm rest. It’s probably some fucked-up power move. Robert has been ignoring it just to spite him.
“It’s just not how comas work,” Robert shrugs.
“Right, and you know because you’re a fucking doctor,” Flambae quips back.
“I know because I was in one, asshole.”

During a quiet night in, Robert realizes that his coma and injuries aren't common knowledge among Z-Team.
Most of them take the information in stride with jokes aplenty.
