Summary
Eddie’s already there, turning to wave, except when he sees Buck, his hand freezes mid-air, mouth falling open so wide it nearly hits the floor.
Buck suddenly remembers he's wearing nothing but a towel.
"Fuck," he says.
Eddie's gaze drops, just for a second, a quick flick down and back up, but Buck catches it, and his face goes hot.
He should get clothes. He should absolutely get clothes. He should turn around and walk to his bedroom and put on pants instead of not moving, naked and dripping in his living room.
Eddie's face is turning red. He's still frozen with his hand half-raised, mouth slightly open, and Buck is having a hard time remembering why clothes are important when Eddie is looking at him like that.
The towel betrays him, slipping with inconsiderate, dramatic timing. Buck lunges for it, misses, and is suddenly very, very naked.

Buck accidentally flashes his apartment’s window cleaner.Bookmarked by actofcreation

Summary
“Do you ever feel… feel like you’re empty?” He pauses, watching for a reaction from Buck, but he doesn’t get one. “Like, all you need, all you want is to be as close to one person as you possibly can? Like that’s the only thing that could fill you. Fix you.”
It’s too revealing. Any second, Buck is going to laugh in his face or awkwardly scoot back. He’ll take his beautiful hand away and pack a bag and go stay at Maddie’s for the night. Then slowly, so slowly that if Eddie were normal he probably wouldn’t notice it, Buck will start to pull away from him.
He waits. He waits for his future.
“Yes. Always.” Is what spills out of Buck’s mouth instead.
or
Eddie finally asks for what he wants.

Summary
The kid claps a hand over his mouth. His eyes are huge and sparkling with something that looks like excitement or mischief, probably both.
"Sorry, sorry," he whispers loudly. Then he leans forward, like he's about to share a secret. "You're a hunk, right?"
Buck chokes on nothing. "I. What?"
"A hunk," the kid repeats. "You know, a hunk."
"I..." Buck has no idea what's happening. "Sure? I guess? I mean, I've been told... I work out sometimes—"
"Perfect!" The kid is already digging around in his backpack. He pulls out a slightly crumpled rectangle of cardstock and presents it to Buck with great ceremony. "This is for you."
It's a handmade card written in crayon, blue crayon. The handwriting is careful but wobbly, the letters all different sizes.

“Let me show you. I don’t know— I’ve never— but I want to show you. Please?”
Buck nods his head, his curls flopping over his forehead.
“Anything you want,” he murmurs into Eddie’s mouth like a promise. “Anything.”

Summary
"Hello?" he says to the clothing rack, and wow, okay, so this is his life now, he's a guy who talks to clothing racks in public, that's who he is, that's what he's doing.
"Hi," says the clothing rack again.
Buck peers between the hangers to get a better look—oh. Oh, there's a very small human in there, blinking up at him from inside what appears to be a nest made entirely of women's cardigans.
So that's good, he's not losing his mind, that's a relief.
"Um," Buck says. "Hi?"
The kid has curly hair and big eyes and crutches propped up against the inside of the rack, and he's looking at Buck like Buck is the weird one here, as if Buck is the one who's chosen to make a home inside a department store display instead of living in a house like a normal person.
Or,
Buck trips over a clothing rack and into a sexuality crisis.Bookmarked by actofcreation

Summary
Buck is about to walk out of the airport. He can’t do this. He won’t. But then a hand—a big, warm hand—settles on his shoulder.
“Hey, uh—”
Buck turns, and standing there is the most beautiful man Buck’s seen in his entire life. A week’s worth of stubble across his jaw and cheek, a strong nose, and the deepest, prettiest brown eyes he’s ever seen, framed by mile-long lashes. Buck’s breath catches. Buck’s not into men, but holy shit, if he was—he’d be into this guy.
Well. He is kinda into this guy. Well. That’s—
“I’m here with my kid,” the guy continues, throwing a thumb over his shoulder and pointing toward where a blonde-haired, smiling kid with red glasses and crutches is standing. The kid lifts a hand and waves. Okay. Even if Buck is into the guy—kid usually means wife. Damn. “He’s got CP. We’ve done this song and dance a thousand times. You want a hand?”
“Sir,” the man cuts in, “this is a private discussion—”
Buck, who really was trying not to cry before, feels like he’s fighting a losing battle now. His eyes are a little wet, and his hands, gripping his crutches, are shaking just a little. “Fuck. Yeah. Please.”

“So, dating app?”
“Yup,” Eddie replied, leaning down and grabbing his weights again.
“Right,” Ravi said in a hushed tone as he moved closer to the other man, “you know when I was talking to them, they mentioned they only had one account.”
“Okay?”
“His.”
“What’re you getting at here Ravi?”
“Eddie…” Ravi looked around one more time to make sure he wouldn’t be overheard, “why do you have your dating app preferences set to men?”

Summary
When Eddie wakes up that morning, his first thought is why is it so hard to breathe?
It takes a few seconds for his mostly-asleep brain to realize that it’s because his nose is pressed against skin. So, Eddie moves his head just enough to unseal his nose from whoever’s chest he’s pressed against and goes back to sleep.
OR
Eddie wakes up in Buck’s arms, has a little panic as a treat, then proposes. Exactly in that order.

Summary
“Are these feelings new, Eddie, or are you finally letting yourself process said feelings?” Frank pointedly asks, raising an eyebrow. “You’ve known him for a long time, and from what you’ve told me there is a very special bond between the two of you.”
Burying his face in his hands, just to give himself a few seconds of respite, Eddie can’t help but let out a small sob. “I’m scared these feelings might have always been there.”
Eddie spirals as he realizes there's more going on between Buck and him than he'd allowed himself to process.
Childhood trauma and destructive behavior resurfaces.

Summary
Eddie's new apartment is small. The walls are too bright, the furniture too new. He misses his couch. He made up the one bedroom with Chris’s stuff, so Eddie’s own bed is the new couch he mechanically turns into his bed every night. He’s got a bedroom with no walls and in the middle of the night, as he stares up at the stark white ceiling, he considers painting it black so he doesn’t notice if his eyes are open. It feels oddly like staring up at the lid of his coffin.

Eddie's gravelly morning voice does things to Buck - it's one of Buck's favourites. He squeezes his eyes closed and tries to keep his heart rate under control. Eddie can probably feel his pulse jump from where his arm is laying on his chest.
“H- Uh… Hey.”
Smooth Buckley. He definitely didn’t notice your shameless thirsting over literally everything-
Bucks thoughts immediately stall when he feel’s Eddie huff a laugh into his skin and he drags his hand from his shoulder down to his sternum. His palm lies flat against his chest, exactly where you press when you do CPR, exactly where Eddie has pressed before, restarting his heart after 3 minutes and 17 seconds-

He looks good, like he’s living a happy life, and the only possible reason Chris can imagine for Buck to be here at Helena Diaz’s funeral in El Paso is that Chris’s father brought him.
“Why would you come?” Chris snaps at him.
Buck blinks. “Why wouldn’t I come?”
“She didn’t mean anything to you.”
“I’m not here for her,” Buck scoffs. “She is dead. I’m here for him.”

Summary
Evan Buckley-Nash has been many things over his life. But in the beginning, he was born to be Daniel Buckley’s saviour. He's never really reckoned with that fact – until he has to deal with his birth parents for the first time in almost two decades.
–
Or, Miscommunication abounds again when the Buckleys come to town as Maddie juggles the demands of both her blood and found family, Buck spirals as he is forced to confront his long-buried trauma regarding his brother’s death (while trying to keep the whole trauma thing a secret) and also insists the visit has to be kept a secret from his (adopted) dad, Hen, Chim and Eddie are trying desperately to be supportive while also attempting to understand the truth of the Buckley siblings’ past, Bobby is hopelessly confused about what in the world is happening with his son and his crew, and of course let’s not forget that Eddie still has that little black box hidden in the back of his sock drawer just waiting for the perfect moment…
In other words, things are definitely on course to blow up like a former-perfume factory on fire.
Oh, and there are flashbacks

Summary
“It’s not funny,” Eddie sighs, knocking the back of his head against the kitchen cabinet as he brings a hand up to pinch the bridge of his nose, shaking his head.
“Oh, come on—it’s a—it’s a little funny,” Buck argues, amusement thick in his voice as Eddie feels his hand curl around his own wrist. Eddie takes a breath, and drops his wrist to rest over his own knee as he turns to meet Buck’s eyes, arching his own eyebrow in question.
Or: Buck and Eddie have grand plans for their first time, it's just unfortunate that their bodies don't seem to be getting the message.
