    Summary

“Minus two points.” He ignored Clara’s sputtering. “A less stupid question would be, ‘How was a sophisticated robot like Svarog subdued long enough for his core to be removed?’”

Clara couldn’t believe her ears. “I thought that there’s no such thing as a stupid question!”

Dr. Ratio gave a long and weary sigh. One of his hands came up to rub at his temple. “A common and repulsive misconception. There is a stark difference between a thought-out question asked by someone in an honest endeavor to cure their own ignorance, and an irrelevant question that wastes everyone’s time and could easily be answered should the asker undertake the arduous chore of exercising their brain.”

Mr. Svarog returns to the settlement with a gaping hole in his chest and a missing core before collapsing, still as a rock. Clara has no choice but to team up with the acerbic researcher sent by the Intelligensia Guild to track it down and save her robot father.

    Summary

In no universe should he have to witness Mydei’s hand linger on Phainon’s shoulder for a moment longer than what two friends consider proper, and then watch as Mydei flexes his hand right afterwards, clearly so affected by it. Like something straight out of March’s romance novels.

Seriously, Phainon’s eyes had softened when he looked at Mydei. Multiple times. In public! And here Caelus thought eyes could only soften in Jing Yuan fanfiction.

Dan Heng gives him a look. “Phainon and Mydei are good friends. They’re bound to bicker every once in a while.”

Caelus sits up, wholly indignant. “Have you seen them,” he demands.

    In which Caelus meddles.

    Summary

If his eyes could glow, he'd most certainly sell them. Anyone would be a fool not to.

When his information and photo is put onto a black market website with a hefty sum for his head, it is Aventurine himself who takes on the task of infiltrating the market with the intent to either raze it to the ground, or turn it into something profitable for the IPC. Truly, the only entertaining element is that it is Veritas Ratio who must follow him through a swarm of hunters waiting to sink their claws deep into his throat.

    Summary

Apocalypse: Star Rail might be the worst game Dr. Veritas Ratio has ever played. In what world is murdering half the known universe for no reason even remotely reasonable? What kind of game kills off its most compelling characters just for shock value?

Also, why is he now in the game — and as a damn NPC, out of all things?

【 Activation Code: “Moronic developers, moronic game.” It is our sincere wish that during your time, you can fulfill your desires and, in accordance with your wish, transform a piece of moronic work into a magnificent, high-quality, first-rate classic. Bound Role: Unnamed male NPC of the Veritas Prime star system, age 0. 】

【 Congratulations! Welcome to Apocalypse: Star Rail, version ██! 】

Well. If these idiot developers can’t take constructive criticism, Veritas might as well construct the criticism himself… by forcibly inserting himself into a plot where he’s never existed.

    Summary

The clouds above move slowly across the ever-blue sky. The cold wind blows a gentle breeze, shaking the debris on the ground. There is a pool of crimson on the ground next to the boy now and he realizes that he is dying. Yanqing groans and strains his body to lay on his back and face the sky. He can see the wings of the birds flapping as they fly by. He can especially hear their song, closes his eyes, and imagines it is a lullaby.

Or, Yanqing almost dies fighting Blade and Dan Heng, and realizes what it means to know death.
