But Emu had gotten a toy of the character Hiiro's more or less been emulating for a few years now, and had thought of Hiiro right away, and gave it to him; it's almost dizzying, this proof that a part of him lives in Emu's mind. Maybe that's why he sets it on a shelf in his office, amidst a few awards — Nect, the tiny, brave knight, dressed in blue, sword at the ready to defend those who need it and save those he loves.
His lips do twitch upwards when he looks at it, but he refuses to call it a smile. He ignores the looks that Satsuki and Mizuki give him — like they're pleased with this development, somehow — when they catch him doing so.

As the wax melted down it, its layers dripped and hardened upon themselves, and when it lengthened into a shape she could carry in her arms, she the Night bent her head and kissed life into it. This became the infant she called Charon, half-melted and smoking Promethean fire with every breath.
At the end of this recounting, she tilted her head and asked politely, Is this not how you have children?

Summary
Zagreus never knew what he was going to get upon visiting Chaos, but that was sort of in the name, wasn't it?
Sensing Zagreus' desire for two particular men, Chaos sends him back in time. He lands in Achilles and Patroclus' bed, disguised as a mortal and dressed like a captive of war, a prize meant to honor the heroes.
He's only allowed to stay for one night, but there's a lot he can do with two men and one night.
