Summary
Bee sticks out her tongue at the word “charge,” but she leaves with a simple “see you later!” She gets up one moment and is gone the next. Something tells Harvey she won't stop working on her farm to allow her wound to heal, a thought that makes him shake his head. He glances at the now dirty floor, sighs, and gets ready to mop it all over again.
(The new farmer reminds Harvey of him. Grief flows through his body again as he scrubs the white tiles, and Harvey does his best to ignore it. He has been dead for a long time now. Harvey can't keep seeing ghosts everywhere, seeing him in every one of his patients' faces, in every corner and hallway of his clinic. It's been a long time, but the wound still aches, an unquenchable fire that only diminishes in size, never disappearing or becoming less powerful.)

He has never seen the sky depicted in books.

Summary
Sebastian was surrounded by people who cared. He knew this, and yet the only ending to that feeling of depression his mind could conjure up was for him to run away, to escape, to disappear, to just cease to exist. That urge to escape his depressing existence by ending it all - along with all possibilities of a future of happiness, a future of hope. A future where he enjoyed waking up and didn't feel a bitter sense of disappointment every time he opened his eyes.
He knew his mother would cry if she opened the door of his room to her son's dead body hanging from the ceiling.

Summary
The cops went over to Sunny’s home next. They didn’t permit anyone to follow them, but they all did anyway. Sunny was declared DOA—just like Basil had been. The cause of death for both of them was the same: blood loss from self-inflicted wounds.
...
Hero jolted awake, a strange feeling overtaking him. He wondered what time it was. He shifted, about to sit up, and it was then that he realized he was lying on the floor. He sat up, confused, and looked around.
It did not help. In fact, it made it worse. So, so much worse.
He was sitting on the floor of Basil’s living room. Aubrey was sleeping on the couch behind him. Kel and Sunny were asleep on either side of him.
What the hell?
Or, Hero gets stuck in a time loop, right before Basil and Sunny both end their own lives.

Summary
He should be happy that he’s gotten another chance. He could change things now. He could right the mistakes of the past. He could save Mari, who was still alive and sleeping in her bed right now in that house next door. He could save Sunny, who had yet to push his sister down the stairs. He could save Basil, who was still kinda new to their friend group and maybe didn’t even know how important they all were to him. He could stop this chain of tragedy before it happened.
But knowing this didn’t make adjustment any easier. Hero was twenty years old in a fourteen-year-old body, three of his best friends who'd died were alive once more, and he was not coping well.A Hero-centric character study in a what-if world where Hero, post Bad End, comes back in time to rewrite the future, and how his interference changes everyone's lives.
