Summary
Will Byers had always known that he was different.
His dad made that clear. The events of the Upside Down solidified it.
Even worse: there was something intrinsically abnormal about him. Something that made his eyes linger for too long on Mike, something that made his heart ache and cheeks flush.
He really, really didn't want to think about it.

“I need your help.” Shane croaks out. “They called, but they won’t - I need to know if he’s okay, but they won’t tell me.” The end of his sentence disappears in something so close to a sob it makes something in Jackie’s chest freeze over.
