When his family decides to patronize an unknown artist, he discovers that he's capable of determining his own life path. However, nothing is ever that simple, and the barriers to their futures overlap in frustrating ways.

Castiel wants to continue the expedition no matter the cost, but he can’t possibly do it alone. The papers and the maps of the previous crew are the most important thing to further the research of the wilderness in this area, further discoveries. Nobody has gone that far before. He needs to reach the findings before something happens to them and the invaluable information is lost and they're set back months, if not years.
Castiel is restless like the dogs in their sled. He needs to come up with a plan.
The plan comes to him.

Set post season 15, this is a story of love and healing, angst and humour, silliness and cuddles, as Cas and Dean build a new life for themselves. It's now complete, but there will be timestamps because there are more flowers still to bloom - crocuses, daffodils and so on!
