There’s a smile on Mike’s face and a backpack slung over his shoulder when Will pulls open the door. “Hey, sorry I took so long today,” he looks Will up and down and smiles even brighter. “You look really cute.”
His cheeks heat up instantly. “Shut up,” he says back, but there’s no real bite to it. Mike steps inside and uses his free hand to cup Will’s chin, tilting his face upward before pressing forward to catch Will’s lips with his. It’s short and sweet, he can’t stop himself from grinning like an idiot, and Will loves his boyfriend.

"Right now," Mike continued, "I want my best friend back. I'm sorry I made you feel like you couldn't be honest with me. I was a dick," Mike laughed dryly. "If you really mean it, if you really meant what you said, then thank you. There's a lot going on right now. I'm scared. We're all scared. And I don't want any of us to do it alone."
He finally looks at Mike, and he's so close, and Will mentally slaps himself when he glances down at Mike's lips. He's certain he's lost his mind when he sees Mike do the same.
"We need you," Mike says. His gaze softens, and his voice lowers. "I need you, Will."
Or: It's Will's birthday, and all he wants is to figure out why Mike is acting so weird.

Will bites his lip and nods, looking down at his shoes again so Richie won't see how hard he's holding back a giddy smile.
Everybody in the party knows everything about him. Maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing to keep a secret from Mike for a little while.
It's kind of exciting. Sneaking in a boy Mike hates.
Will shakes his head, trying to clear Mike from it for the night. Only when he looks back up at Richie, Richie has this conspiratorial smile on his face, like maybe Will isn't the only one eager to piss off Mike Wheeler.

Michael stepped closer to Will, until he was nearly pressed against his side. He looked at him, head tilted down to meet his gaze. His boots made him taller, making the height difference he and Mike shared even more pronounced. Will shivered when he felt a hand press against his lower back.
“My choices are yours, my prince. If you would like me to distance myself, I will do so without hesitation. Would you like that?”
Will stared, mouth agape. Michael’s eyes were boring into his soul. Mike had never looked at him like that, and it was doing things to him. Slowly, he shook his head.
Michael smirked, looking pleased.
“Hey,” Mike snapped. “I said back off, okay?”When an alternate version of Mike, a strong, confident knight, appears in Hawkins, the Party attempts to help him get home, and Will attempts to survive his flirting.

Will dropped his head into his hands. “Mike, oh my god—”
Paladin Mike’s jaw tightened. “I do not own him,” he said immediately. “He is—” He stopped, swallowing. His eyes went back to Will softening, and that softness made Mike hate him even more. He could recognize the look, and saw it mirrored in his own eyes countless times.

“He is the Light. By your oath, I am bound to him. My liege.” He bowed his head slightly toward Will, his mouth wrapped around the word like it was a prayer. “My cleric.” He said after, softer.
“Oh my god.” Will flushed, impossibly. “That is crazy. He is actually crazy."
Max, who had been standing with her arms crossed behind them, muttered, “Jesus Christ,” under her breath.
Mike Wheeler is going to explode, because there is an alternate, armoured version of him, following Will Byers around like he belonged to him.
