“You are not serious.”
Himeko is a great boss, gentle, yet firm, and highly demanding, but not to the point where one would wake up each morning dreading the prospect of going to work. She rules their little agency full of lunatics with an iron fist clenched around a caramel macchiato, which is no easy feat to achieve. Himeko often tells Dan Heng that great success requires a little bit of bravery, but this was less dipping your toes into unknown waters and a whole lot more of running into an open fire while doused in gasoline.
Figures. It takes a crazy person to lord over his colleagues in the way their illustrious Chief does.
Correction: Himeko is a great boss who just happens to be downright insane.
And this time, she had Dan Heng in her sights.
“As serious as this coffee is cold.”
Dan Heng gets tasked with taking some photos of the rising star of modern cinema. Needless to say, he isn't too excited by this.

“What if I didn’t want to drink it with sugar?” Lumine says that, and yet still takes a sip from her cup.
Wanderer’s gaze remains on Lumine, and his face distorts as though he’d seen another bug—it reminds Paimon of his more insane days, and that’s why she keeps her mouth shut, despite how eerie he’s being. “But you like sugar,” Wanderer says, mouth twisted, a petulant edge to his voice. “You like sweet. Food, places, people—isn’t it better if they’re sweet?”
Paimon’s jaw drops open. Hot chocolate dribbles out from the corner of her mouth, sliding down her chin. The question feels like a trap. Is most definitely one, in fact, and even Paimon realizes that.
But Lumine, she doesn’t even blink. Instead, she puts down the coffee, smiling. Lumine is always so nonchalant in the face of Wanderer’s volatility. Paimon doesn’t know how she keeps herself so calm. “Sometimes,” Lumine says lightly, “I prefer bitter.”

If Galo actually did so—

Cici looked expectantly at Langa’s phone, but Langa had already turned the video off and put it in his back pocket. After it buzzed again though he took it out, silencing it with another quiet, wistful sigh. Langa stared down at the darkened screen, his small sad frown reflected back at him.
“What’s with that sigh?” Cici teased, a wide grin on her face. “You texting a cute girl?”
“No.”
“Cute guy then?” Cici pressed.
But to Henry's surprise, Langa actually grinned a bit, his eyes turning a little soft as he stared at his phone. “Yeah. My boyfriend.”
Henry’s eyes widened. Langa… has a boyfriend?
