Summary

As aftershocks rattle the city and exhaustion catches up, the 118 closes ranks, refusing to let Buck push past his limits. What starts as “walk it off” becomes a lesson in trust, vulnerability, and letting found family carry you when you can’t. In aftermath, courage looks less like sprinting and more like stillness.

Eddie’s reaching out towards him, palm facing the sky. His heart aches to envelop Eddie’s hand in his, whether to pull him beneath the firetruck towards him or to provide simple comfort, he isn’t sure. His heart just aches and aches, like a vice is physically squeezing his heart and making it hurt more.
He’s aware it’s a dumb idea. More than dumb, probably life-threatening, reckless, and extremely, idiotically risky.
But he does it anyway.

Buck knows he’s being ridiculous, because Eddie isn’t dead, but it feels like he is, like he’s buried under thirty feet of suffocating mud and Buck’s clawing at the earth as though he could dig his own grave to spare Eddie his, like Eddie’s bleeding out beneath Buck’s hands from a bullet that should never have hit him, that should have hit someone who wouldn’t be missed and mourned, that should have hit Buck instead.

Summary
Buck hated full moons. He swore that they made everything crazy, despite the way Eddie swore he was just being superstitious.
If Buck had realized today was the full moon, he would’ve called in sick. But after mixing up the days, Buck finds himself trapped in a room with a crazy scientist trying to plan an anthrax attack. Buck is left alone to deal with him, while exposed to the developing anthrax spores. Buck has to get out on his own before it’s too late. But he’s never been one to abandon someone in need.
He really should’ve called in sick.

“Attachment is wrong, Ahsoka” Anakin said as he wrapped his arms around his Padawan to hold her close.
“Uh huh” Ahsoka mumbled back, laying flat so she was able to be as close to Anakin as possible. She rested her chin on the small dip between Anakin’s shoulder and neck.
“It’s against the code” He continued absently while his hand started a steady pattern of rubbing circles into Ahsoka’s back.
“Got it”
“Good” Anakin pressed his lips against the top of her head and let them linger there. Well, apparently they come from an unconventional lineage, so he may as well live up to the name.

After the Mortis Arc, Ahsoka struggles with the trauma that came with it. Anakin helps in the best way he knows how- hugs.

There was a case. There was always a case. Some creature was attacking its victims and infecting them. The victims would have high fevers and hallucinations. They would spend hours calling out to people they knew, sometimes people they hated or sometimes people they loved. Then the victims would begin to cry. They would cry and cry and blood would drip from their eyes and their choking sobs would become hacking coughs that brought up more blood. They would die.
Of course Dean Winchester got infected.

“Abby!” She tries again, even as she can barely catch her breath. “Abby, please! Please!”
The last sight she gets before there’s cloth over her eyes is Abby standing over Joel, still unmoving and silent, a pistol in her hand aimed right for his head.
Then a blindfold is over her eyes, and the only awareness she has is the sound of a gunshot.
The sound has barely faded before she replaces it with a scream.
