Leon returned a very brief smile, before taking a step back to observe their surroundings. Ashley was letting go of his arms when she noticed rivers of red dripping down his water-resistant shirt. She slowly followed the trail up to what looked like a horrible gash wound on Leon’s shoulder. Her heart jolted in a panic, when did that happen?

Summary
"Acting Grand Master," Lawrence says, "we have another noise complaint."
Kaeya leans against the doorway, watching as Lawrence places at report atop Jean's desk. Sighing, Jean tiredly rubs at her brow, before offering a curt nod.
"Thank you," she says. "I will deal with the complaint shortly."
Pushing off the doorway, Kaeya saunters past Lawrence, picking the report up, and casually flipping through it. Jean shoots him a stern look, but does not tell him to put it back down.
"It's from one of the sisters," Kaeya observes, and reads aloud. "Perpetrator scaled statue outside church while drunk and sang loudly for three hours."
Lawrence lets out a delicate cough.
As Weinlesefest draws near, Kaeya notices a new mystery in the city of wind and wine — Jean and Diluc have been oddly permissive with Venti since the Stormterror Incident. Mischievously determined to get to the bottom of this, Kaeya soon makes a discovery that threatens to upend everything he knows. In the process, he must reconcile what it means to be Khaenri'ahn, and to love a city that belongs to a god.

Eddie is there, after he'd swapped shifts with Linda so she could go to her cousin’s graduation party. The one day he works when he's not supposed to, an electrical fire caused by some kind of overload takes out all of Dispatch.
Buck and Lucy are on the second floor when Captain Mehta's voice filters through the radio, urging them to evacuate. Lucy takes the third floor, despite the order.

Philza laughed. He laughed so hard that Techno could almost hear his lungs protesting for air.
Despite the rather harrowing circumstances, despite everything that's happened, Techno cracked a smile at hearing that laugh. He'll always smile when hearing it.
After a few moments, they were back in silence.
" Techno?" Philza asked after a beat.
Techno turned towards the older man, silently prompting him to continue.
Philza looked exhausted, yet his gaze was as sharp and expressive as ever, cutting into Techno with its vulnerability.
"If I found you first and we didn't grow to be so... different, could you grow to accept Tommy, Wilbur, and me? Maybe, perhaps one day... love us?"
Techno found that he was unable to respond to Philza's question.
He couldn't give an answer that didn't exist.
So he elected not to respond.
The silence returned, somehow answering Philza's question with painful absolution.

It’s an obsession—thinking about this guy. Buck doesn’t know how to be normal about it. He’s spent the last forty-eight hours overcome with the urge to know everything about him, whether he likes his coffee cold or hot, whether he sleeps with socks on, whether he eats the same Special K cereal as Eddie in the morning with the little freeze-dried strawberries, whether he breathes out his nose or his mouth, whether he has any idea that his new home is a gravesite, and Buck is the widow sitting on the bench nearby.
He needs to know. He needs to see, needs to find out whether this man is worthy of treading over the same hardwood floors that Eddie and Christopher’s bare feet have touched.
Someone new moves into Eddie's house. Buck does the completely normal thing and starts dating him.

Summary
Eddie is all fucking over him.
He falls asleep with his body sprawled over the broad expanse of Buck’s chest and wakes up with his face buried into the skin of his neck. They watch a movie together on Eddie’s couch and Eddie practically sits in his lap, head tucked under Buck’s chin as he blinks at the screen. When they’re alone, Eddie can’t stop himself from peppering kisses to Buck’s lips and his cheeks and his forehead as Buck giggles and pretends to try and duck. Under the dinner table every night, Eddie will hook his foot around Buck’s ankle and make Buck duck his head into a flushed smile. And Eddie is always, always holding Buck’s hand—running errands and in their own bed and at the grocery store and across the console while Buck’s driving them to work.
Maybe he’s just in the honeymoon stage. Or maybe this is how he’ll always feel—like every second he’s not touching Buck is a second wasted.
