Langa blinks his eyes open, confused as to why his alarm is ringing. It cannot possibly be morning yet. It feels like he’s only slept for an hour at most, and—oh right, Langa remembers. He must have accidentally fallen asleep during the day.
Which means that the sound from his phone is not an alarm, but rather…

Birthday. A strange concept that these people have – these people in this new nation beneath the sun.
In Diluc’s palm, the crystalfly glows faintly: iridescent wingtip trembling at the edge of life, the barest shimmer of movement; delicate as winter sun. And Kaeya finds himself quite unable to look away.
“Actually,” he whispers, so that only Diluc can hear. “It’s today.”
