At first it’s hard to say what plagues Hiromi the most: the tickle of the plaster dust in his nose and throat or the blaring klaxon of the system alarm which threatens to explode his eardrums; but as the room—his office—blurs and comes back into focus again, he reaches a conclusion:
At least he can turn the damn alarm off. That’s one point in its favor.
“Deafen alarm!” Hiromi shouts.
Another bit of plaster falls from the ceiling and Hiromi coughs from the ensuing cloud of dust. He rolls onto his side, putting himself into the Recovery Position in accordance with the Foundation Emergency Handbook: Section 2, Paragraph 4(a), and begins to Assess.
[OR: Higuruma Hiromi is the Site Director of Nihon Containment and Preservation Site 7. Unfortunately for him, it's about to be a very, very bad day.]

A blur of movement and a rupture of light, striking and bursting wide enough to cover everything in Nanami’s vision, his arm raising defensively in front of his face as he fell back a step. It was barely a moment or two before the vicious wind died as quickly as it had begun.
He opened his eyes and lowered his arm.
Gojo wasn't standing in front of him anymore. He looked around, expecting the other man to have already moved towards the source of the attack, then – when he found the parking lot as empty as before – looked down.
There on the ground just ahead of him, his head covered in blood, was the strongest sorcerer in the world.

OR: nanago start kissing on the job, so I bonk Gojo over the head and make it Nanami’s (and Ieiri’s) problem.

Summary
Nanami thinks that Gojo might spend more of his evenings in Nanami’s apartment than he does in his own home at the school, when he’s not off on missions. And Nanami lets him. He’s not even sure how it happened, really, but Gojo has a habit of barging into where he wants to be and making everyone else shift to fit.
So, though tonight is not strange, necessarily, it’s cast in a sort of dreamlike, fantastical glow that dulls Nanami’s senses, and it takes him another twenty minutes before he realizes he can feel Gojo’s leg twitching against his own. He can feel Gojo’s body heat radiating, rather than the neutral layer of coldness that encases all of Gojo’s careless touches. Gojo has to carve infinity from his being with a scalpel, and he’s done so in Nanami’s apartment.

It’s hard to believe it, but the evidence is right before his eyes: Gojo, lying on his back, in his bed with one arm limply hanging over his eyes. To Nanami’s annoyance, Gojo still has his boots on, but that’s a less grievous sin in light of the fact that his uniform is covered in various fluids. He’s hesitant to call all of it blood, because some of it is purple and green, and some of it is sliding closer and closer to his blanket with every heaving, sporadic breath that Gojo takes. Nanami’s not sure what to do or say. Eventually his mouth decides for him.

Even with his skin a strange, sallow gold from their fire, Gojo is beautiful. Nanami does not look away from his bareness, though he wants to; instead, he gestures for Gojo to turn. Easier to face his back, the curve of his spine and delicate bumps of his vertebrae, rather than reminisce on how Nanami’s never seen him like this. In his sokutai, yes, resplendent in silks embellished with the newly founded Gojo clan’s crest, the last thing Nanami had seen before leaving Heian-kyo for a simpler life. In the light armor some shamans favored, too, worn more for form and style, to mark him as being on their side, spattered with blood that was not his own. In clothes tattered into shreds as he appeared in the midst of Nanami’s home, a wildly triumphant grin on his face and a prize in hand, too; and after that, clad in the hitatare they donned in an attempt at disguise.
[Or, Nanami is dragged back to do his duty, courtesy of one Satoru no Gojo and a quest.]

Summary
Itadori goes stiff at the same time that the creepy-crawly dread feeling going up and down Junpei’s spine turns into an ice cold alarm. The other boy whirls around on his heels and then swears. He takes off running without another word, bolting like some kind of racehorse bred purely for speed. Junpei hasn’t run since middle school maybe, back when gym was mandatory and his gym teacher hated him, but he does his best to follow even as his chest immediately starts to ache.
But they don’t get very far into the school or very close to the gym at all before Mahito appears.
“Hel~lo,” Mahito trills, smiling so widely it looks like it hurts. For a second as Junpei skids to a stop next to Itadori, arms pinwheeling and chest heaving, he’s almost relieved.
Oh, he thinks to himself as he leans against Itadori’s shoulder. It’s just Mahito.
And then the screaming starts in the gymnasium, loud enough that it echoes through the halls to them like an audio track from a horror movie.
