Will took in a shaking breath, looked down to Mike’s lips and up to his eyes again. “Mike could you… could you maybe kiss me?” Then suddenly panic moved through him and he turned away. Why did I ask that? Oh god. He will push me away. “I– It wouldn’t mean anything.” He added quickly. “I just– You don’t have to do it. I’m sorry.”
“Oh.” Was Mike’s only answer for a few ever longer stretching seconds. “I mean if you want to.”Defeated from a horrible date, Will is desperate to know what it feels like to be loved. In a hopeless moment he asks Mike to kiss him.

Summary
Mike and Will both have decent lives carved out for themselves. Will is thriving in New York except for one thing; none of his attempts at a relationship ever last longer than a few weeks. Will knows the constant phone calls and weekend visits from his best friend aren't helping, and decides to call Mike and tell him the truth; that he needs space from him so he can finally move on.
Mike, who had no idea Will still harbored any feelings for him, gets on a train immediately and shows up in the city at Will's doorstep, ready to finally confess what he'd been holding back for years.

Paladin Mike’s jaw tightened. “I do not own him,” he said immediately. “He is—” He stopped, swallowing. His eyes went back to Will softening, and that softness made Mike hate him even more. He could recognize the look, and saw it mirrored in his own eyes countless times.

“Shut the fuck up.”, Will whispers because he can’t, he just can’t deal with Mike’s confusing ass right now. The soft light is illuminating Mike’s features, jaw carved out so perfectly, cheekbones high, eyes so dark Will feels like they’re swallowing him. “You are, too.”, he adds.
“Prettier than your lame boyfriend?”, Mike ask, voice somehow careful and urgent at the same time.
“Mike…” Will shivers a little, not sure what to do with himself. It’s ridiculous for Mike to actually believe Will has a boyfriend; if that were the case, he would’ve never stepped a foot into this bed. But somehow, Mike’s need to come out on top compared to the guy he is supposedly dating makes Will break out in goosebumps all over.
“That’s not a no.”, Mike remarks.
“That’s not a no.”, Will whispers, scared to move at all and break the moment.
A soft grin plays at the corner of Mike’s mouth, “Oh, yeah?”
“Yeah.”, Will nods, “But you knew that already.”

Summary
“He really does look like Mike,” Lucas breathes, as he gives Mike’s twin a scan, head to toe.
“Yeah, if Mike were way hotter and a knight?” Max chips in, and Will can vaguely hear Mike muttering again. “He looks so medieval, like he’s from Camelot or some shit.”
“I am Michael,” the knight begins to plead again. He turns his doe eyes back to Will, returning to his side like a diligent guard, even going as far as to reach out and take his hands. “Please, you have to believe me. I would never lie to you. Have I ever broken our oath? Let me prove it.”
Will was a bit preoccupied with gazing into the knight’s eyes, his cheeks flushing under the intense stare and the way his hands were held so gently. Mike had no issues ruining their moment.
“And he’s weirdly obsessed with Will.” Mike sounds even angrier than he did in the woods, and his sharp tone is enough for Will to snap out of his hand-holding to step a respectable distance away from the knight. “We need to send him back to wherever he came from.”

Mike the Brave ends up in Hawkins and sweeps Will off his feet. Mike has a lot of Feelings™ about it.

Will released his hold on him with no obvious movement of his hand, and to his surprise Mike seemed not to notice, staying put with his back against the wall. Something about that had Will letting out another embarrassing groan as Mike continued.
“Shouldn’t have to please yourself. You should let me,” Mike was saying, “I could make you feel so good. You could have my fist, or my mouth, or my thighs, or…” Mike trailed off, smirking as his meaning dawned on Will. Will had never been particularly strong when it came to Mike._________________

“...What?” Will says.
They’ve established some de facto rules in the past year. Of course, Will had been in the basement at first, scrunching himself onto the battered couch while his brother snored on a spare mattress on the floor across the room, but after about six months, he had been ready for a change, and had taken Mike up on his offer of a sleeping bag on his bedroom floor. He’s beginning to regret it by now, but- at least Mike doesn't snore like Jonathan.
Ergo, for almost twenty-three weeks now, he and Mike have been doing this dance. It has rhythms, it has rules, even if they’ve never said them aloud. Whatever Mike is doing now… this is not in the rules.
“The bed, just get in the bed. C’mon, I won’t bite.”
It turns out, finding a decent place to sleep in a house that's just a little too full isn't the easiest thing to do. That being said, this might be worse (better) than the floor.

“I have an idea,” says Mike.
Ice cubes form in Will’s stomach. “How dangerous is it? Like, should I call Dustin to talk you down, or should I call Nancy to be ready to drive us to the hospital?”
“No,” says Mike, “you can’t tell anyone or it won’t work.”
“Or what won’t work?” Will asks. It’s like picking up a rock you know a spider will be under.
Mike gets up and closes Will’s door. Hopper doesn’t make them keep it open but sometimes Will does anyway, because every now and then lying around alone with Mike on his bed just makes his chest ache too much. If the door is open he can tell himself You can’t do anything right now, someone will see.
Mike leans back against the door. His eyes are lit up with that special maniacal gleam that the Wheelers get right before they do something insane, like when Nancy says, “Then we have to go kill Vecna ourselves,” or whatever. “Take me to the wedding,” says Mike.
“Yeah,” says Will slowly, “you’ll be at the wedding. Obviously.”
