But he’s sliding his glasses off now, and they find a place on the end table with a soft click. The rough texture of his palm cups the back of Katsuki's hand—a small adjustment—and he moves Katsuki with him again.

Summary
A cracking light came down from the heavens with a decisive boom, as if like divine lightning. A simultaneous shudder rippled through the legion of bodies holding Izuku down. As he looked to the sky, he felt it too; rocking him to his core and singing like a piercing bell in his ears when his eyes met those of his salvation.
God’s face was that of a boy his own age. Izuku had seen it countless times with eyes wide open and clenched shut. It was a face he knew better than his own.

His eyelashes cast a barely-there shadow as he spreads Izuku’s hand over his cheek, and then parts his lips just barely around the pad of Izuku’s thumb when it swipes against them again in its uncoordinated pliability. Kacchan’s fingers fit around the back of Izuku’s hand to hold it there, and he kisses his thumbpad again.
And again. Izuku can feel his own heartbeat in his ears.

I’m tryin’a play with you, you stupid nerd, Katsuki thinks. Don’t dare open your mouth and pretend you’re in control.
Katsuki glares down into Izuku’s face. Izuku hides self-consciously. Good. Katsuki hopes he feels tiny; like he’s at Katsuki’s mercy. Like he’s Katsuki’s little toy to play with. Izuku should be thrilled to be Katsuki’s toy. Katsuki wants to hear him admit he loves being Katsuki’s plaything.
After all, he’s Katsuki’s only little toy. He’s the only one he wants to — has ever wanted to — play with.

Half of his hair shines in the light like he could be wearing a jagged halo. The other half of his face is nothing but a shadow with an opinion all its own - perhaps a smirk hidden like a dagger in the night, or a judgemental frown, or something that Katsuki couldn’t comprehend even if someone explained it to him.

Katsuki accepts to honor his alma mater, definitely not because imagining that damn nerd isolating himself with guilt makes his chest feel like he just got out of surgery again.
The hastily rebuilt dorms welcome him back, this time to the teacher’s floor, and Izuku is too close again, just like when they were kids. He still sucks the air out of a room, is still magnetic even in his grief, even if this Izuku who lives to teach and not to save is someone Katsuki can’t fucking figure out how to talk to anymore.
But Katsuki is a problem solver. He can work on that, and he can find this sick bastard and stop him from killing again—as soon as he figures out why Izuku is disappearing through his goddamn window every night.
