Summary
Stede and Ed's relationship ended months ago, but Stede hasn't been able to let it go. He's amazed when Ed agrees to participate in The Ex-House with him, sharing a tiny house on live television for six weeks to win the grand prize.
“Hello, Edward!” he says, forcing brightness. Remembers to look at his face - two seconds at a time is perfectly acceptable, look at the face, not directly into the eyes - tries to remember to turn his lips up into a friendly smile. Behind Ed, the door whooshes closed again and leaves them in silence.
Ed’s fully clad in leather, which is always a good look for him. Slight hint of eyeliner. One arm bare, showing off the winding snake tattooed into his skin. Beard trimmed short. Hair up, as well, properly styled. Small silver dagger earring dangling from one ear.
He looks unapproachably hot. The kind of guy that would skim over Stede without a second glance. The kind of guy that would sniff out Stede’s oddness in a second and push Stede down as a way to lift himself up. There are probably people watching on their televisions right now, wondering how the hell the two people in this room were ever together in the first place.

Summary
"Scourge of the Caribbean" has been Stede's favorite book series since he was 12 years old. Now, age 47, divorced, and an aspiring author, he turns back to the series to draw inspiration from the familiar story. But as he starts reading, he realizes that something is different. Blackbeard, the main character, is apathetic and depressed, and the story has changed. Even stranger still, Stede seems to be the only one aware that this change has occurred.
Desperate to understand what's going on, he returns to an old hobby of his, fanfiction, to try and understand what's going on in Blackbeard's mind. But he never expected for Blackbeard to actually start talking back.

Summary
Edward Teach has lived as a bandit for years after banishment from his Nora homeland. He lived up to his title as Blackbeard, a master tactician when it comes to the demise of Machines, and incredibly talented in thievery and the occasional good maim. Away from expectant eyes, he preferred to spend his time amongst ruins of the Old World scattered throughout the land. The world was much different a thousand years ago before the fall of their era, and Ed loved any history he could gather from recorded data, voice memos, and holograms.
A recorded holo of a curious man from hundreds of years ago caught Ed's attention. The man was always full of hope and wonder, entrancing Ed with his love for life and the world they lived in.
Ed had made it his duty to uncover more about the Strange man's life. Catching feelings for the holo however, was strangely a hard thing not to do.

There’s a brief silence before Ed speaks again. “You really don’t think you’ll ever meet them?”
Stede turns his eyes up towards Ed and notices he seems sad, almost dejected. He’s pretty sure he knows what Ed is talking about, but he asks for clarification regardless. “Meet who?”
“Your match. Ya know, the one who makes your world pretty and worth livin’ in and shit.”
Stede ponders the question. In all honesty, he hadn’t before, but that had all changed when he’d woken up with Ed watching over him, eyes brown and intoxicating like the finest brandy.

Premise.

As he felt his life slipping through his fingers, Stede met a handsome stranger in a flowery clearing and life as he knew it would never be the same.
Edward Teach had never, in his 20 years, believed he was someone worthy of fine things. It was something God had never meant for him to have and he had made his peace with that. But when Stede Bonnet walked into his life, he started to wonder if maybe he could have this one thing. The finest thing in the world could be his, perhaps? If only they could get away. If only Stede would come with him.
This is a story of finding the love of your life in a time and place that made it impossible for that love to exist. A story of passion, of duty, of regrets and of heartbreak. A story of finding love only to lose it again. But most of all, it is a story about finding that love again and knowing for certain that it’s worth fighting for. Summary
They meet at the grocery store.
Edward Teach is Queen Anne's Revenge's lead singer and guitarist, a rock band larger than Stede realizes. All Edward wants is to leave it behind, drop that part of his life that was fueled by his anger and pain, and instead express himself in the ways he really wants. The thing is, no one else wants him to change.
It's been five years since Stede's divorce from Mary; five long years of sitting in his pool of shame with his sexuality. He's not the arrogant, naive man he used to be--the guilt of breaking his family has left him anxious and lost, and he's not sure if he will ever find his confidence again. His world had flipped on its axis, a complete restart, and he's forging his way through his new life one road bump at a time.
