Summary
Frank and Gerard meet in high school geometry and they immediately become friends and soon, best friends. They're in a band together, see each other at lunch and in their classes, and hang out all the time. Eventually, they kiss and realize that they have feelings for each other. After that though, Frank doesn't show up to school for a week, doesn't come to band practice, and doesn't answer his phone. Gerard wonders what happened and shows up to Frank's house to find out that something happened to him: he's a vampire now.

Summary
After waking up in a random forest with his wrists slit, bleeding out to die and no memory of how he got there, 17 year old Gerard Way is told by the nurses at the hospital that him and his family are going to have to relocate to a small town in the middle of “Fuck-Nowhere-Alberta”.
The move was supposed to help him recover from what everyone around him is convinced was a suicide attempt, but despite all signs logically pointing to him attempting to take his own life, Gerard knows something isn’t right, and the longer he stays in Dawesbury, the more things don’t seem to line up.
Things become increasingly more complicated when he meets Frank Iero, the peppy boy from his English class that he can't seem to understand, and tries to figure out what it is about Frank that unsettles him.

Pete’s face felt too hot suddenly, his heart hammered in his chest so hard that Pete was worried Mikey might hear it somehow, even though that was physically impossible.
Except that Mikey’s eyes dropped to stare a hole into his chest, eyes fixed right over where his heart was pounding, and his grin grew a little sharp, his eyes dilated ever so slightly and it looked like that he could hear every pound, every rush of blood locked in his chest.
But that's.... That's impossible.

“This prank,” House says, gesturing all around the apartment. “You got me, you don’t have to—”
But in the action of waving his hand around, his gaze catches on a shiny glint on his finger. He blinks at it. Once, twice. It can’t be.
He’s wearing a wedding ring.
Out of the corner of his eye, he sees Wilson place his hands on his hips, roll his eyes. There’s a similar band on his left hand, fourth finger—the designated marriage finger. The sight is not unfamiliar to House, what with Wilson’s endless stream of wives, but House has never seen a matching ring on his own hand. Certainly not one that matches Wilson’s.
