Or, 99 needs $5,000 by the end of the week. The Bad Batch and their new little sister come to the obvious decision to raise money by going on a wild road trip and playing music. Pursued by the cops and Death Watch, will the power of blues music and siblinghood save the day?
(I rewatched the Blues Brothers in the middle of a Bad Batch hyperfixtation. This appeared in my docs. I am writing this for fun and also because this fandom is in dire need of something happy. Enjoy!)

Vee was too angry to care. Luz didn’t understand- Luz would never understand. She threw away one good life for another and now she was prepared to throw away her family for her new one on the Boiling Isles. “What? Are you upset that you can’t have everything you want?” Vee’s voice broke. “That you’d be perfectly happy to throw away a mother who loves you for a witch that you met two months ago? You have no idea about the pain Camila went through.”
“You have no clue what you’re talking about,” hissed Luz, tears brimming in her eyes. “Do you think it was easy for me to leave mom? To know that I might never see her again? To know that she might hate me for what I did?”
“I would hate you for leaving me, if I were in her place,” Vee spat.
And that was the final straw.

And then Hunter came along. If you had asked the Gus who had first met “Caleb” if he thought the witch would soon become one of his best friends, then he would have responded with a resounding “no.”
Yet somehow their little adventure at Hexside had changed things. The arrogant, emperor-loving Golden Guard seemed to be an entirely different person than the witch that saved him from getting a sigil, from being captured by Graye, and from becoming lost in his mind. When Hunter had brought him out of his panic by badly imitating the breathing exercise and whistling through the gap in his teeth, Gus felt like that might be the sort of thing an older brother would do.

Or, Gus wants to make sure that Hunter knows that he appreciates him. And maybe the only way to do that is going on a quest to figure out what exactly ice cream is together.

From sea-folk to sun-rays, their interests were piqued, but especially towards one thing in particular: Alberto Scorfano, Giulia’s adopted brother and Luca’s fierce (though not yet requited) affinity. However, as the five’s time together progressed, Verona’s focus narrowed onto two, irrefutable facts: Alberto Scorfano is not the charmer he makes himself out to be, and Luca—though he’s too blind by love to notice—needs out. Thankfully, she (with assistance from Franco) is more than ready to take up the task. -
