Summary
“Don’t eat that,” they instruct.
Susie scoffs. As if they know what she’s about to do, when they can’t even see her through the barrier they’d created. How do they even know she’s picked up the chalk – was she that audible?
“ ‘M not,” she retorts.
“.. Then what are you doing?”
Susie darts her eyes towards the abandoned case of chalk, then back up at the stick she holds within her devious grasp. “..Drawing?”
Because that’s what she’s supposed to be doing with it. It’s not supposed to go in her mouth, probably shouldn’t even be raised to her lips. Drawing is more socially acceptable, and so it’s the first thing that spurs from her throat.
She hears Kris offer up a faint chuckle, followed by a kind of dismissal. “No you’re not.”

This is gonna be good, Dipper thought, gearing up for shenanigans as the title sequence rolled. The first lines of dialogue—if you could even call a string of random quacking dialogue—were spoken by none other than Duck-tective himself, and Dipper was determined to have a retort prepared.
"HEY THERE, GRAVITY FALLS," said Duck-tective, the unexpected dubbing possessed of an eerily familiar echo-back quality. "AND HOW ARE MY FAVORITE MYSTERY KIDDOS TONIGHT?"
"Ooh," said Mabel, sounding impressed. "Now that's what I call personalized marketing strategy."
