It was supposed to just be simple, discrete reconnaissance, just Artemis, Kaldur, Robin, and Wally. M’gann was there, too, but she wasn’t operating as a part of the mission itself, instead hanging back at the Bio-Ship and being on the ready as potential backup if necessary. The four of them, excluding Robin, had agreed that it seemed like overkill, but Robin reminded them that there should always be a contingency, just in case something goes wrong.
“Without issue?” Wally demanded as soon as M’gann left, eyes wide as his foot stopped tapping. “You’re saying that wasn’t a problem- at all?” Robin aimed a nasty, cold glare at the speedster, who immediately clammed up.

Crowley never thought twice about anniversaries before; It was just another one of those silly things humans decided needed celebration one day. Crowley never really saw the point of it. That was until a bright card caught his attention while on a normal food run for the fussy angel. Aziraphale and him celebrated many things over the years, but the day they met was never one of them.
Well, it wasn't like their old sides were going to stop them after that stunt they pulled. No, nothing was stopping Crowley from surprising Aziraphale with the last scroll from The Library of Alexandria over a candlelit picnic on their anniversary. Maybe except for the fact that he had to find the damn thing first, and lying to Aziraphale about the whole thing was even worse. Maybe Crowley should have known those old guardian instincts never went away.
Alternately: Crowley goes on a wild goose chase to locate the last intact scroll from the Library of Alexandria and Aziraphale is beyond concerned when the demon starts reeking of desperation.

Stan had known his brother didn’t want him around, Ford had made that very clear the last time they saw each other, and he certainly didn’t need Ford summoning him from halfway across the country to rub his nose in it.
But anger took energy, and Stan was so, so tired.

Fiddleford watches with a mix of exasperation and amusement, closing the door behind him as a gust of wind rushes by. “Sorry t’ startle ya.”
“Eh.” Stan leans his back on the railing, sticking the cig in his mouth to leave it there. “Was lost in my thoughts anyhow. No harm done.”
