“You’re not giving up,” His words come out as a statement rather than a query, with the tone Kaveh has gotten used to hearing in the span of two weeks. “I’m rather surprised.”
Two weeks went by, and Kaveh’s patience reached its limit on the third day of their tutoring session — which Kaveh himself expected. But this is not about him.
“You’re going to have to try harder to get rid of me,” Kaveh replies, getting himself comfortable sitting on Alhaitham’s chair. “This will not stop until our tutoring session ends or until your Grandmother tells me to.”

After the Dendro Archon gets rid of the Akasha, the people of Sumeru are able to dream again. Along with dreams, a new phenomenon has begun to occur in which two individuals can share a dream. In Sumeru, the only person you can naturally share a dream with is your soulmate. The only downside is that once the dream is over, the only identifiers the dreamer can remember about their soulmate in order to find them are their names and a vague idea of what they look like.
In which Kaveh and Alhaitham start sharing dreams and Alhaitham hides the fact that they’re soulmates from Kaveh.

In the afterglow, Kaveh rests against Alhaitham. He listens to the man’s heart beat, counting the pulses absently while a hand cards through his hair. Lips press sweet kisses to his warm skin, and Kaveh feels more love than he ever had in his miserable life since his father died.
He feels like he is whole. After twelve years, Kaveh’s soul is finally pieced back together.
But reality isn’t kind.

The soldier only grunts, sitting him down beside a lady who hadn't stopped crying since she was boarded on and quickly puts his seatbelt on.
"You'll see them again kid, I swear on it. But we have to get everyone loaded up before it's too late ok?" The soldier tells him, and all Tommy can do is whine while nodding. He just wants his family.
