San zips back the bag of food and is about to put it to the side to fill the water bowl now when he feels something soft bumping against his hand. He whips his head back to the bowls and realizes the cat is actually touching his hand right now. San freezes, too scared to even move the hand, simply watching as the feline nuzzles into the back of his palm and leans into it so much San can soon feel the soft fur against his wrist as well.
He wants to pet the cat so badly, but just watching it rub itself against his hand is so heart-warming, San believes he’s doing this whole ‘trust the process’ thing right. He very slowly rotates his hand until it’s palm up, observing as the kitty now nuzzles its cute little head into his sweaty palm, eyes closed and oh my fucking fuck, it’s purring.

Of course he’d had to find out this information during a live. And from a fan. Not even one of his friends, his members. That would have to go on Wooyoung's top ten most humiliating moments in life. And he had a lot of those. This humiliating moment fell somewhere between spilling milk all over his crush in highschool and that time his mother had to bring him spare underwear for reasons he'll never disclose.
It was that bad.
He just sucked air in through his teeth and tried not to let his irritation bubble over into his facial features. Their fans picked up on even the littlest things, dissecting every single blink and sigh and twitch of their mouths. It was why he and San were careful with how far they actually went with their public displays of affection- Nothing beyond questionably platonic, and San was rarely the initiator. It was (always) Wooyoung pushing over-dramatic kisses into San’s cheeks, never the other way around- At least, not in public, not on stage.

This time, he wouldn’t be able to hear that familiar sound, or run with him towards the beach and stay there ‘till the sun went down, or tan himself under the sun, his skin in a tone that’s more red than tan from how pale he was in comparison. He wouldn’t be able to run his hand through Wooyoung’s hair, hug him tightly when things got hard, or hold his waist when they danced. He couldn’t hold Wooyoung anymore.
