“Not mission relevant, Elena,” Bosley says sternly-gently, “we don’t have much time for this final briefing. I have a last-minute update from Charlie for you three. New intel.”
Elena bites her bottom lip, looks down. Jane feels upset; she can tell Elena is upset. Sabina’s thigh is bouncing minutely under Jane’s hand: she’s obviously restless. Sabina’s upset too. Jane glances between her girlfriends ...
“Angels!” Bosley’s voice cracks like a whip. Jane looks over in shock. Bosley is glaring at them all … though she doesn’t look truly mad. More worried. “We’re in a briefing.” Bosley says this sternly. Then, sarcastically. “It’s traditional to pay attention.”
“Maybe you should pull our team from this one,” Jane suggests before she knows what she’s saying.

OMG it's a polyamorous F/F/F triad, yeah baby! That's what I like to see. 😘
No wait ... this series is not an OT3 (One True Threesome) to start with ... far from it. What we have here is the slow burn trajectory of Arisugawa Juri and Himemiya Anthy from Enemies > Frenemies > Friends > Friends With Benefits > Lovers > Partners. Ooh boy. 😮💨
At the same time Juri/Utena are established romantic/sexual partners (9 years strong) when Anthy re-enters the equation (10 years after Ohtori Academy, on her famously destined 'Tea & Cookies' date with Utena). Anthy and Utena quickly get together (too) because they are soulmates: need I say more? 🤭 Around that point our 3 girls develop into a 'V Triad' where Utena is the V, aka the hinge partner ... and Juri and Anthy hate each other fiercely. 😅
So what we have in this trilogy is the chemical interactions when an OTP (One True Pairing): Utena/Anthy combines with an unexpected pairing (Juri/Utena) to form enough of an excuse for Anthy and Juri to interact with each other, long enough ...
... for some very unexpected side-effects to occur. 🤓

Includes two short stories:
1) Ten years after canon, Utena and Anthy meet again in the real world (during a mysterious 'storm'). What happens next is just as mysterious ...

Dr. Kiramman steers her through the chaos and plants her in a chair. Does something to her arm that hurts like fuck, then drapes her in bags of ice and wraps her in a sling. Blinds her with a pen light—“Called it,” she mumbles when he confirms she’s concussed—and presses two pills and a warm mug into her hand. It smells herbaceous. Familiar.
“I brought the good stuff from home,” Dr. Kiramman confesses, and it takes her a moment to understand he means tea. “Extra honey for you. I know you haven’t acquired the taste.”
He’s right in that she only actually drank it once, the first time it was offered—the afternoon they spoke to the Council, several lifetimes ago. But she tasted it just this morning in Caitlyn’s mouth, grassy and sweet. So she pops the pills and takes a sip. Tries not to think about whether that terrified kiss over breakfast was their last. “I want to see her.”
After the war, Vi and Cait recover, and rebuild.
