Summary
Kaelen Rhys, a Jedi who was knighted later than most, was recently promoted to General. He was assigned to the 413th Battalion, whose previous General had died only a month prior. Kaelen sets out to meet the battalion’s Commander, but the Commander doesn't take as kindly to him as he thought he would.
Commander Gauge was still mourning his fallen General when GAR sent a new one to replace her. Gauge, angry and bitter by grief, is harsh on Kaelen, claiming he needs to be “toughened up”, much to his brother’s disagreement.

Cody's timer is for less than three years after the war starts and he has no idea who it is for.
Obi-Wan's timer is for much longer and he puts it out of his mind because there is nothing he can do without knowing when it started counting down.
