Summary
Steve Harrington absolutely hated Eddie Munson. He hated his cocky attitude, his freakishly large brown eyes, his long, dark, curly hair. He hated his shitty taste in music, he hated that he only ever wore black. But most of all, he hated how much Dustin worshipped him. As much as he hated to admit it, Steve was jealous of him. He was jealous of how much he had in common with the kids he once took care of, and how much those kids looked up to him. Despite the boatloads of trauma that the group had to bond over, Steve could never really relate to any of the kids about any of their interests. He didn't know jack shit about D&D, or Lord of the Rings, or the Hobbit, or the best games to play at the arcade.
But even so, who was this freak-show Munson to replace Steve’s role with his best friends? His friends who he had fought with, who he cared about more than anyone else in the entire world? Steve was sick of being replaced by this asshole.
But maybe, just maybe, Steve could learn to like the guy.
