Summary
There’s dirt in his mouth, his eyes, his nose, his fucking ears. There’s entire ecosystems underneath his fingernails, digging into his body and taking him over, filling him up with dirt until there’s nothing of him left. He can’t feel anything– he can feel everything. His lungs squeezing with each minute that he goes without air, his broken and bloody nails screaming in pain as he claws through the dirt. His muscles are so tired, begging for him to just take a break, stop for a moment and rest, but he can’t, he can’t go back– he needs– he needs his dad. He needs to see him, to be back with his family, to have them hold him and take care of him and tell him that everything will be okay.

Jason comes back completely sane, and his first task is to find his family. Too bad they dont seem to like that.

On the other hand, though they're just as generic, Dick's never seemed concerned about the 'Thank you' printed between his shoulder blades. Neither of them ever even considered that they might match.

What if Batman did save the Flying Graysons? What if Jason Todd didn't become a homeless orphan quite as early? (And the Court of Owls isn't an issue.) Two teenagers who've never been vigilantes meet when Jason runs away to join the circus. Jason integrated with the circus, finding a new family, but the two young men may be playing with fire in more than a few ways when they tackle a resurgent threat by bringing in Batman. Angst and puns and cute JayDick.

Or: Dick takes Damian to a haunted house on Halloween, then proceeds to involuntarily deck every clown in sight. Damian naturally uses his newfound knowledge against the entire family. (T for language.)

Summary
"Batman fights in two dimensions. In his twenties, maybe the long-distance ninja-style leaping tackles served him well, but soon he started accumulating too much scar tissue. Heavier armor equals less upward mobility (which is an ironic phrase to use about a billionaire). Nowadays he mostly fights forward and sideways. It’s clever and clinical, but it’s not inspired. Really the main word that comes to mind is “relentless.”
"Robin fights on all three axes, X, Y, and Z. Dick’s never been able to separate the idea of impossible acrobatics from imaginary numbers. The problem is that sometimes he goes up and up and sideways and forgets which way the ground is, and then Gravity catches him again like an old ornery maiden aunt, even though he was almost sure that this time, finally, he’d left her behind him."
Short piece comparing and contrasting Dick and Bruce based on advantages and drawbacks of their armor and battle tactics. I just thought it was interesting :)

Or, Jason isn't sleeping, Dick doesn't know what to do, and Tim just doesn't want to get shot at (again).

Good smut and angst, rough violence; a case fic that has a slow wind up and fraught wind down with a lot happening very quickly in the middle.

No more fending for themselves on the streets, no more running with gangs, or mugging passerby. But in this new world, with all its furnishings and plenty, Jason is the only one that can't seem to find his place.
