The war is over and Cybertron is returning back to its pre-war state. Tensions are rising between Neutrals and Autobots. Decepticons must either conform or be punished in more ways than one. The fragile state of Cybertron has everyone edge, but some bots couldn’t be bothered with politics right now.
Ratchet can't seem to cope with the death of Optimus and its slowly making his spark burn-out with grief. Even with all this pain, Ratchet must continue his duty as a doctor and this leads him to be reunited with an old patient of his, Drift. Both are two bots grieving over the loss of someone they cared about, they take comfort in knowing that there's someone who can understand them. Slowly but surely, that empty space is filled by each other.
