She works with the resistance against Vic, and his twisted morals. She works under Vic as an investigative journalist during the day and puts on her own synthetic skin and anonymously becomes The ‘New’ Question at night.

October 3rd 9:45pm, rain beats down hard on Hub City as cameras survey the streets below. Jumbotrons throughout the city faintly spew an announcement from KBEL-TV, drowned out mostly by the frenzy of drops. Down a desolate alley, one of the few places without a camera a manhole rises enough to slide to the side.
Someone with a fedora slowly raises themselves from the hole, rain drooping the rim of their hat. They look back and forth making sure the coast is clear. Getting out we see more of them. They’re wearing a dark blue trench with long frizzy hair pulled back into a ponytail.

Commissioner Gordon's wife, Eileen (swapping her first and middle name for simplicity rather than having two "Barbara Gordon"s), was missing for a week. After being dumped on Jim's front lawn, she awakens claiming she can't remember any of what happened.
When blood on her dress matches the DNA of a dead Dockmaster found at Gotham Harbor, Jim reaches out discretely to Renee Montoya- former ally on the GCPD, now working independently as the second wearer of the mantle "The Question"- to figure out what happened to his wife in her missing week. Renee, along with her mentor/colleague Vic Sage (original "The Question"), slip into the seedy streets of Gotham to solve the mystery. But clues often lead to more Questions than answers.
