“Stan, I have to go.” Xeno checks his watch, the only thing that had stayed on. “The conference starts in ten minutes.”
But unfortunately his boyfriend is completely unaware of how he looks right now.
His normally slicked back hair is in disarray, his clothes disheveled from their earlier activities, and it’s possible he’s wearing one of his gloves inside out. But the most incriminating factor is the smudges of purple all over his neck and exposed chest—and it’s all Stanley’s fault.
So he grabs his wrist, and utters the words he never thought he would ever say.
“I can’t…”
“What do you mean?” Xeno turns around, his eyes widening in astonishment.
Stanley swallows, his throat suddenly very dry. “I can’t let you go out there, looking like that.”

He had so many ideas for new inventions, new ideas to advance their little kingdom, but that train of thought was immediately cut off. The silence swarmed around him.

Make the observations, formulate questions, develop testable hypotheses, conduct experiments or gather data, analyze results, and draw conclusions from the findings. It was the method Xeno lived by when his curiosity struck.

Rated teen for the mildly graphic scenes (mostly in chapter two), and also for repeated language. Stanley is the main reason for that. I can't really see a world where he's not a filthy mouthed piece of shit, lmao.
