“Lance?” Keith says, at the very same time that Lance reaches out and pulls Keith down. Keith, unprepared, lets out a shrill sound as he collapses on top of Lance, scrambling to pull himself off. Lance is sick, and drenched, and shivering, and Keith, as the only one with a clear head, feels he has some responsibility.
Oh.
Before Keith can get very far, Lance cups his face, pressing their foreheads together. Keith’s eyes flit rapidly between his own. Keith seems to realise Lance isn’t planning on letting him go. His face turns a little red. “Your eyes are very brown.”
Keith, not Lance.
“It’s you,” Lance says, apropos of everything.

Summary
Lance stands in the middle of the ballroom, staring up at the skylight, at the stained glass arranged in a dizzyingly beautiful pattern. The walls are encrusted with gold and jewels and all sorts of gaudy decor, because Lance stands in the most expensive manor in the known universe, Veli Atarang.
"What are you doing?!" A voice yells, familiar, as the owner of said voice grabs his hand. He recognises it's Lotor, hands soft and brash. He absentmindedly wishes it was Keith. Regardless, he doesn't move an inch. Lance is enraptured. A moth to a flame.
Literally.
The ballroom is on fire.
OR
The new old Black Paladin has ulterior motives that no one else seems to see, the runaway Galran prince isn't as bad as he seems, and Keith is somewhere. Slowly, Lance begins to realise that maybe it was a good thing he made all those friends across the universe.

All is not right in the Voltron Coalition. Good thing Lance is here to do something about it.

Tommyinnit walks into a room. It's the perfect recipe for trouble. His hair is too well done, and his style is not his. A bulky man in a suit ushers him to a table and chair in front of the flashing lights and cameras.
The only thing him about him, he thinks, is the scowl on his face.
"So you mean to say you just got really lucky, Tommyinnit from Pogtopia?" Charlie the Reporter says in his obnoxious reporter's tone and Tommy's face twists even further in contempt.
"That's not my fucking name," Tommy spits. He needs to be polite, but this particular journalist had a way of getting on your nerves. "And I haven't said anything,"
"I assumed. I mean, what even are the odds of four complete strangers stumbling across a human trafficking scheme, anyway?"

Summary
“Pretend we don't know each other?” Shane repeats, a little confused in all honesty. Wasn't therapy about talking?
“Yes. You are meeting for the first time in this room. Introduce yourselves.”
Shane shifts in his seat, slowly turning to Ilya. It's not all that different from the first time they'd actually met; the awkward vibes radiating off Shane are almost identical. They're just missing a snowy forecast and a cigarette.
He decides to go a step further, standing up. It feels the right thing to do under the circumstances. Who meets for the first time sitting down? He takes a step forward, holding his hand out to Ilya. Or not Ilya. This random man he’s about to meet, who happens to look a lot like Ilya. Ilya takes the cue, standing from his own chair with a shake of his head. He takes Shane’s hand, shaking firmly.
“I’m Shane, uh, Shane Hollander.”
Ilya nods. “Ilya Rozanov.”
