Summary
A small intake of breath above him attracts his attention. Techno’s head snaps upwards and his eyes lock onto a boy wearing a thick red hoodie which shades his face from view.
Techno wonders for a second if he’s been recognised as the Blade, number two villain in L’Manberg and member of the dreaded Syndicate, but then the child lets out an awed gasp and a single word which smashes those thoughts to smithereens. “Santa?”

Summary
Dead ahead, a tall fence cages off what would be an exit to the town, presumably to stop wandering Deceased Ones from entering. It’s at least four times Phil’s height and there’s no chance of climbing over it due to the coils of barbed wire curled on top.
And there, dwarfed by the sheer size of the chain-link beast and cuffed to the fence by their wrists and ankles so their feet are a small distance off the ground, where the undead would easily be able to bite and scratch at them, is a person.
Or: Phil is a lonely man in an apocalyptic world. He does his best to help somebody he meets on his travels and manages to get a friend out of it.

“Philza Minecraft, you fraternised with the enemy, and, according to many accounts, helped a vampyre escape its death,” one of the hunters read aloud from a clipboard. “Your punishment is as follows: three nights in the same cell as the Blood God. We will rethink your sentence after the three days are up.” The words were like the sound of the guillotine’s blade crashing down.
“Wait— no! Hang on, that’s just a death sentence!” Phil cried in disbelief, not really struggling against the arms hoisting him towards the jail cell in his stupor. He twisted his head, trying to find the eyes of the general and seek proper reason but there was none to be found in that stone-cold glare.

Summary
A winged shadow from above passes over the coarse grass and onto Techno's knee-length, black boots. He’d recognise that blackened outline anywhere.
It’s on wanted posters that’re plastered onto walls and hung up next to his own; its description spreads by word of mouth through taverns like lice; it’s tossed around in the army too, many having the hope of fighting on the same side as the myth of a man. ‘The Angel of Death,’ the voices whisper together.
or, Techno ignores all the clear signs about who his soulmate is until he can't deny anymore

Summary
His eyes pick out the child with night vision of such good quality that he can see the subtle shake of the kid’s hands in fear.
He hears the clang of the door to his dungeon-den shutting and another noise as the padlocks on the other side are secured tightly so he doesn’t escape. The boy-child throws himself against the metal door, clawing at it with nails no longer than one of Techno’s eyelashes, and banging his fist against it fruitlessly in an attempt to garner the guards’ attention (useless since the people who stand outside the dungeon are apathetic and greed-filled, only there for the gold).
Techno sends a rumble out into the large chamber, letting it reverberate off the walls pleasingly. The child freezes where he is in the furthest corner and shouts out into the rest of the room, “Show yourself, beast!”
Or: Kid Tommy gets thrown in a cell with dragon Techno, what could possibly go wrong?

Summary
Techno, himself doesn’t know why he was immediately drawn to the pulse of the kid’s heart when he followed the overwhelming sound to where he was whimpering in the alley.
All he knew then was that there was a vampire in his area of the city, he could feel it, but when he saw Tommy some weird vampire-kin instinct prevented him from slipping a stake through his half-turned heart. Instead, it offered him a way to save the baby vampire’s life, which he took all too quickly for a vampire-hunter, but his inner possessive nature crooned at having somebody just like him, scorned before the first week is past.
____________Techno was turned and left to die on his own, surrounded by the blood of the people he'd known. He vowed then that no matter whether he was human or vampire, he would hunt down the rest of their kind and kill them all so no-one else would have to feel his pain.
Then he finds a kid and his whole world flips upside down.
Or: I see a distinct lack of Techno-centric vampire fics and decided to fix that issue…

Summary
Tommy comes back to his present self — present because he subconsciously knows that what he just saw is the future — and realises he’s lying on the floor. His first thought is that he blacked out and dreamt it all but no, dreams don't feel that fucking real.
His second thought is that he can’t let Dream escape that jail cell in the future.
Then the pieces slot together like a finished jigsaw. A “butcher army” is coming to kill Techno. Tubbo and his cabinet tried — will try — to kill Techno. He can’t let Dream save Techno from the execution otherwise he’ll use the favour he’s owed to break out of jail later on… He also can’t let his brother die, no matter their history with each other. Family is family, through thick and thin.
Tommy sits up, chewing his lip thoughtfully. “I’ll have to rescue Techno myself then,” he realises aloud, picking himself up off the floor and beginning the trek down the mountain.
Or: Tommy finds himself with unexplainable see-the-future powers and accidentally sees his brother's execution. Guess he'll have to stop that then.

Summary
The swim back to the beach is nerve-wracking, his heartbeat thrums in his veins louder than the crashing waves hammering the cliffside but being back in the water soothes his worries and he can only focus on the now. Cutting smoothly through matter like a knife through butter, it’s almost as if he’s meant to be here (he knows deep down that everything will be more painful when he leaves).
Thoughts of what he just did rise up as soon as his pelt is safely retied around his waist. What the shit? What the fuck was he thinking!
The sailor knows there’s a selkie on this coast now, what’s he going to do?
He rounds the headland to the beach below his lighthouse, and immediately catches sight of the sailor he just saved. He’s lying on the now-grounded, sand-sprinkled wooden door, bent double and hacking up saltwater. The man collapses back in exhaustion with his eyes closed, clearly not having noticed Tommy’s presence.
All he can think is: what the fuck is he supposed to do now?
Or: a selkie Tommy au with quite a bit of bedrock bros angst and a pinch of fluff added as an afterthought.

Summary
He ran through forests, passing by towns and avoiding heavily used roads, up mountains and around deep lakes to get away from the organisation hunting him and, more importantly, the person who told all Tommy’s secrets to the rest of the world. All the carefully close-held things that one only trusts with a best friend or a brother. The things that drove him away from the home he thought would always be there.
His last memory of his brother is tainted by what happened immediately after.
Or: a Crimeboys medieval au where Tommy is fae and Wilbur is a fae hunter. The inevitable happens.

Summary
He artfully dodges another tree and vaults a few shrubs before setting eyes on one of his carefully-placed traps hidden in the undergrowth. Any unsuspecting creature would walk straight into the coils of taught metal and get stuck, meaning there is another meal on Techno’s home-carved plate. But instead of a decent bit of game inside the snare’s metal restraints, a bird of prey is struggling around with one leg stuck out above.
Or: Technoblade, retired soldier of the Blood God, finds a bird in one of his traps. Only this bird isn’t like any other he’s ever met…

Tommy’s jaw drops, shuts again, then falls as he takes in the situation. Three possibly dangerous aliens from some unknown planet are saying hello to him. This definitely tops his previous strangest day ever that everyone involved has unanimously agreed to never mention again. Tommy doesn’t know whether that is respectable or not.
The one with the least fashion sense, a brown trench coat, looks at its friends. “Uh, do they talk or...?”
